Just because you Father and Son are veterans most certainly doesn't make you one. The above statement is disrespectful and offensive to me since I have had many friends and family that WAS in Vetnam. Some killed, some hurt, and some that will never be the same after going through all they went through. Listen to Clueless and hang up the bullshit.

same here Bobet I have had many family and friends hurt or killed or MIA and as far as bullchit Im not I am all action and I have a DD214 too so eat chit Ive been there and done that too. I was one of the few and proud that went to resuce 250 marines during the oliver north scandal

Got to say I do not remember 250 Marines needing to be rescued. Must be my advanced age. I just can not fathom using Marines and needing to be rescued in the same sentence. When I think Marines I think the Frozen Chosin. Where little less than 8,000 Marines found themselves surrounded by 120,000 Chinese soldiers. Khe Sanh the numbers were closer for each side, same story however, they were surrounded. Our guys where shelled for seventy seven days. Rescue no, re-supply yes. Seems the Marine Corps make very tough people. Each and everyone them have my respect. And the beat goes on, Iraq, Afghanistan and coming soon Syria. The people, the true one percent, who step forward and raise their right are Patriots. They are the ones that are ready to take the road less traveled. What do they ask for? Just a little respect; a nod, a salute or just a Welcome Home. Why do they do it? So you and I can express ourselves on this site. God Bless all of them!

Please, my time of giving orders has passed. I'm no longer in the military and all my sons are adults, living their own lives with their families and no longer under MY roof. I try to be polite and usually express myself in terms starting with please and ending with thank you. A lot of people know who I am, and a lot do not, which is the way I would like to keep it. Who knows, one day we may even become friends, and then you will know who I am. Thank you, and have a great weekend at the Beach.
