We are moving to Colonial Beach at the end of the month and cannot find on the Town's webpage who to contact to get a final water meter reading and to start our new service. Your help would be appreciated.

It's funny that someone else is still using my name on here, but is actually saying what I would have anyway. Kudos!

Water and sewer bills are only put in the name of the owner. When you go to settlement the bill will be put in your name. Make sure the previous owner paid in full, or you may have to pay for his usage.
Call Treasurers office and ask for Adam. Hewill be happy to help you.

Dont pay any attention to these morons. every town has some. they thingk they are being witty and clever. They are jusst stupid and dont know it

Colonial beach is a fine town and great place to live
Like all towns, it does have its share of ignorant people who have nothing better to do with their time other than post trash on topix

It's a small town with small town issues. These are the same typical problems you will see in any small town. They seem worse here because evryone is in everyone elses business 24/7 here. Some people like that. I do not. That is why I do nto live in town. The doule taxes are not true double taxes. You will pay roughly 40-50% more total then if you live in the county. The blight we have is the low cost housing and the associated riff-raff that that brings. Otherwise, it is a typical sleepy little water-based town with nice views, relatively nice people and a decent beach.

Welcome to the Beach! Moved here last year and it's been great. Yes, we got a few issues, but not more than most places. Hope to see you at the next town council meetings, if not, I know you are going to enjoy living here.

Felix,
Welcome to Our Town!
I honestly believe we have a great quality of life and wonderful neighbors.

Have you seen this article? http://thesavvyseeker.com/2012/07/17/seeking-...

As you settle in, you will find many groups that you can join from the yacht club to Colonial Beach Baptist Church. Explore all of the groups and enjoy the banter here on topic.:). It can be salty at times but I hope that most of the posts are good fun.

Are you a Senior? We haves very active Senior group in Town. I always need volunteers for critical projects to help the town.

Welcome again.

Bill P,

You sir, are an ass.

MasterScout does a world of good with his Scouts. The Scouts do so much for our community under his guidance.

I'm sorry you have such hatred, especially during the Christmas season.

Slander isn't a good thing is it?

I know MasterScout in person for years and what you are posting is inaccurate and false in every area.

Hi,
I invite you to meet with the Dawg.

He is one of the top business leaders in Virginia who is trying to rebuild colonial beach.

He is doing locally what Obama is doing nationally.

Abby
