According to the article, it was Tonia Garvie. Is this the same Tonia that used to work at Dockside, Lighthoue and a few other places in CB?(no, I am NOT drawing any conclusion on where she worked. Only trying to place the person)

Not sure Bill. I don't know the lady, just heard the typical CB rumor. I was just hoping the rumor was untrue and that it was just some random that lived outside of the 'Beach limits.

Yes she did work at the Lighthouse. What in the world are the Blunts thinking when they keep hiring criminals to work in their establisshment. This girl was out on bond when she comitted the same crime. Why did they not fire her when she was arrested the first time? Lets not forget about the former employee who he and his wife went to jail for writing false presriptions. To top it off I hear they hired the old cook back again. I do not wish to be in the presence of these types of people.

Let's not make this about the Lighthouse. That has nothing to do with this so-called king-pin of meth. She also worked at other places in CB, and was actually a decent person before she got mixed up in drugs and became trash. Yes, she is trash. If your going to make this about the Lighthouse or other establishments, take it elsewhere. We are ALL tired of that crap!

first of all if u dont have the facts dont make uneducated remarks. Yes Tonia Garvie was out on bond however she didnt do the samething twice. That is just stupid to suggest. More evidence was found and more charges where added. As far as kingpin goes, that is just silly! Has everyone forgot what town this is? That Atkins is trying to get re-elected? Everything is being blown out of wack. The blunts are good people and their establishment has nothing to do with this. Check the local sex offenders list and you will be suprised to see who works where. You might as well just not go out in town anywhere. What happend to being proven guilty before being stigmatised? Ms Garvie is a good person and anyone who knows her will say the same. I suggest maybe do your homework on the topics you want to rant about before you begin ,but wait- this wouldnt be C.B. without the over populated uneducated. Get your facts straight people!

Yeah, I don't know the acccused. Don't think that where they work reflects on their employers, though. I shouldn't have led my initial statement with "heard it was a Lighthouse employee". That was my mistake, but just trying to place the lady. You can't hire a PI to screen everyone.
These folks are innocent until proven guilty, but it does worry you that there are meth dealers in the area. It just sucks all the way around because unfortunately it is headline news up here in 'Burg and that is all folks see about our town... the bad news that gets printed.

I would never defend someone for dealing drugs. Although I feal it is a definate stretch to charge this young lady with king pen charges. 10 grams is really not that much weight. I dont care what your measuring. I would hope this charge was not trumped up due to the upcoming election cycle

Labor law is very clear when it comes to firing an employee for perceived infractions of the law. I know of companies who have been sued for moving to fire someone before the facts are presented. I think the Blunts did the right thing by waiting to hear the facts and to let the law take its course. The fact that she was out of jail is usually an indication that the evidence was suspect at best. However, now that there is no bail and more facts have been spelled out I don't think you have much of a choice but to terminate the relationship.

Once again, it is not about the establishments as they have to follow the letter of the law or be subject to lawsuits. Yes, even Penn State and Joe Pappa are on the Hotseat for a reported cover up protecting a child abuser who was one of Penn States most respected coaches. It happens everywhere and all the time, ask Herman Cain

Good, the Lighthouse doesn't want you or need your business. People like you are the scourge of this town with your backstabbing and they should have fired you from the Lighthouse way before they did.

all i have to say is i know Tonia Garvie and i truly believe these are trumped up charges for the sole purpose of furthering a few peoples careers
the idea that tonia who barely has money for cigs and food after paying her rent on a single wide is a drug kingpin is laughable at best , in my honest opinion her only crime is choosing her friends unwisely.
that said , the obvious fact that the power that be are willing to sacrifice the life of an innocent women to further there own agenda is a dispicable crime , one that suggests that law is but a speed bump when careers in politics are involved , who is the real criminal ?
i would put forth that marshall law is not far off , dont piss off the sheriff for fear of reprisal , dont cross the mayor cause the sheriff is in his pocket , town councel are just puppets for what the chamber feels the towns direction should be , could we digress any further then we already have , guess we'll find out

Did you read the police report and the article in the papers? They just can't make that stuff up. She got caught plain and simple and for you to excuse this type of behavior is appauling. You must be one of her friends. I would be careful who I hang around with.
Also to think that the mayor, sheriff, councel and chamber had anything to do with this is just ridiculous. She made her bed not once but twice and I believe she is going to pay dearly. Do you like meth labs in you neighbor hood. I don't, I hope they throw the book at her and I am certainly going to find out who bailed her out. Matter of public record.

You are, in part, what is wrong with this town. You want to give her a "pass" because you feel she can not afford cigs? Did you ever think that she couldn't pay her rent or buy cigs because she was buying/making meth?! You call her innocent? You could not be further from the truth. Open your eyes! Do you want CB to stay a crack-heads paradise forever!

Oh, and your attempts at speaking elequently and in an educated fashion have failed.
