CB town Christmas lights

Who dose this?!!!! Put up those tacky Christmas light without replacing the bulbs, how much dose bulbs coast. As a town it looks so tacky. I mean really can you put some new stuff up too, really put some color in there it is Christmas after all Montross decorations look better.

Tacky is an improvement to what this town looks like without the lights. Small victories my friend, small victories.

Question for you John, thought maybe you might know. Who purchases the decorations and lights? Are they donated or does the town buy them. Seems I heard that volunteers put up Christmas decorations. Just not sure.

Donate some money, and maybe they can get them to your liking.
It is easy to sit and criticize, why not go buy some bulbs and replace them yourself,(or are u just too lazy)
Would be a win win for everyone.

If you could go replace them yourself and do something nice for your town, it might get you out of your Christmas Scrooge funk. Just sayin.....

I think they are talking about the town lights on Colonial Ave. Someone did buy some new light bulbs. The lights on Town Hill are put up by volunteers every year. A lot of the volunteers do spend their own money and ask for nothing in return. Town Hill looks great this year. Thank you to all who worked so hard.

All the decorations were inspected and checked before they were hung.
When they were, all the bulbs worked.
Unfortunately, a vehicle struck some of them right after they were hung. They were damaged.
It was discussed at the Committee meetings.

Unfortunately, members of the press nearly outnumbered attendees, so it wasn't easy to get info out.
That's why there are a couple decorations that aren't working at all, or have large sections that aren't working.
The ones that have assorted bulbs out will have to be tended to.
When I get an answer on what will happen with both issues I will post.

Town Hill is spectacular at night when everything is electrified. If you haven't driven by, check it out!

If you did not contribute time or money toward the decorations. You have no right to complain, So crawl back under your rock and shut the----up. Most of us appreciate the hard work the volunteers do to make our town Festive. Santa was a huge treat for the kids.

As of 12/05 the lights hit by a truck had been repaired! To all that have something to say YOU DON'T have anything to say because YOU did not get involved and YOU don't have a right to talk unless YOU played some part to put the lights up. A lot of good people have put in a lot of time to make things better. What have YOU done! Get involved and You can say what YOU want. If You are not part of the solution YOU are part of the problem!!! You need to step back and see that You make a fool of yourself by making the comments you make. Get a LIFE! Think again ,As a taxpayer I paid for the lights and the employees salarys that put them up.I also think they look great.

Think again, those lights on Colonila and Washington were donated by a very generous lady in town. The town may have used town employees to put them up. I am glad my tax money was used for the beautification of the season. They could be sitting on their laurels doing nothing. We pay tem anyway. no matter what they do.
