I'm not going to bother calling, but I did look at the Web Page. No special notices are posted to announce changes in the schedule today. They have not made a run by my house today which is my normal day. There will be NO TRASH PICK-UP MONDAY. Those poor guys are going to be swamped with double loads of trash.

YEs, if thats the only reason. Seems just lazy way of getting out of doing it without notice.

Good point. However, just once in a while, some things are SO obvious that doing it, or not doing it, with or without notice merits a Mulligan.

Seems like you may have wanted to take the lazy way out too. I know you are one of those who says I pay my taxes/water/trash bill and you want your service but since they are short staffed, maybe they were busy doing other things because of the snow. We were also missed so we just took ours & neighbors to the local conveyance station. To bad you are not my neighbor. Give me a call next time. It really wasn't that difficult! You should feel fortunate you don't live in DC. Sometimes we all have to pitch in and help each other. I DO AGREE about the IMMEDIATE emergency information (not just for Huricane Season) and a dedicated person to post (could be a volunteer). Not everyone can get to the Community Center. Simular to the KG Alert system on a smaller scale for CB particpants. Seems it would be helpful to those who live in and out (sesonal) but that's a TOPIX for another day.

.if you think being safe is just being lazy, then you are one ignorant a**hole.i heard that one of the trash guys broke his leg trying to climb over a snow bank to pick up the trash for the fine citizens of colonial beach.now i call that dedication not laziness.now would you like to comment back after you get your head out of your ass?

My bag, I see the point and its taken. Sorry !
I just wish we had known they were not coming so i didn't end up with a mess from the dogs on the loose in front of the house. If they are not coming for some reason they could let us know is the point I felt was important.

musicman.....

You make a good politician, and so I think you should run for Council. You've got the ability to rile up the townsfolk to a nice froth, bring it to a climax, issue a mea culpa while backpeddling a bit, and then lighten and defuse the situation with the logic behind your original faux pas. Voila! Everyone in Mayberry is warm and fuzzy again.....for awhile.

I think you should come up with some planks, build a platform, and then share it with us. With a little dash of transparency thrown in you may be surprised with your voter turnout.

Thus the ordnance for your trash to be in the proper can with lid. Or are you also one of the ones that leaves the plastic bags on Sunday for a Friday pick up and then blames the animals for the mess. Of course they never enforce the ordnances, so I ask why have them in the first place? You must be been listening to that head banging music by now!

Well I do have proper trash cans with lids, but that doesn't stop the dog from jumping up and knocking them over. I even threw a snowball at him and he came back 5 minutes later.
Hey Vetnam 2, you have to take the fact that sometimes when you open your mouth to express an idea that it just is not gonna come out correct. Then you have to be able to stand the heat for a bit and adjust what it is your saying to get the proper focus back. The people of the Town need to be able to express an opinion and hope that someone elected is going to listen and at least feel they have been heard. Some of the worst comments can have some truth within. It would not serve the Town to have people that cannot listen with an open mind and keep a open line of communication going. That I think is one of the most important things to look at in electing someone to represent you. FOCUS AND COMMUNICATION and find a common boundry to succeed.
Well the planks have started !
