My heart goes out to his family. Thank you Cheif Hawkins for going beyond the call of duty to help his family start the healing process. Westmoreland County Sheriff's shame on you for giving up so soon.

the important thing is that he was found . i would think the worst thing would be to never know where they were ,besides the worst thing being that it happened

Perry was not my best friend, but he was a friend, and he made his mark in my life.

Perry was a benchmark for any working man during the time I knew him. His work ethic was nearly untouchable; he was quick to laugh, he was smarter than he let on to be, and man, could he ever squeeze into a small crawlspace and he loved to fish. Anyone could call him if they had any problem and he would be there for you. He excelled in these ways more than most hope to achieve without hesitation.

I never heard him say anything ill of another human being, it was cool waving at him and sometimes stopping to chat on the road when we passed each other.

I hope we can all find a way to celebrate all of the good that he represented, no matter how. He was an honorable fixture here. I just talked to him last week for the first time in a month, and was so glad to see that he had recovered so well from his surgery, and he looked good, and had a really positive demeanor about him.

I will miss Perry, as I am sure you all will, and I really hope the bashing will be kept to a minimum.

I, too, considered Perry a friend. What a fine man with a heart of gold. As stated in the previous post, he had a work ethic that was - absolutely untouchable. He was smart and unassuming. I will miss seeing him in the big red truck on Colonial Avenue and will miss his dry sense of humor. Perry was a fixture in town and his passing leaves a void in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family along with Barbara and Jay Camp. Rest in peace my friend...rest in peace.

Unconfirmed rumor is that he walked into the woods behind his home and took his life with a fire arm. No bashing....nothing else.

If it was confirmed it wouldn't be a rumor. Sorry just some humor to make it easier to accept. We will all miss him.

A note to anyone who is feeling down, life can get better, anything can change in a moment and there is always tomorrow. Look at how many people have come to show their appretiation for people who have died this year.

So if you feel like no one cares it may just be that everyone is busy with their own lives. Don't assume nobody cares because this town is full of people who care, their just busy trying to get by day to day.

Take the time to to smile at a friend today and let them know you care.
