Why make a heroism story out of a girl who does not know how to fly an airplan. Engine is very reliable and what ever got her into this is with no doubt stupid mistake, carburator icing due failure to use carb heat, or pulling back mixture instead of throttle and when you fly, there, it is min1000 feet you have 2 minutes before you hit the ground. Real pilot would have gone closer to the river shore, make good location report
Thank god you are a live and take 10 hours with a good instructor to teach you where the throtle and where the mixture is and how to operate forced landing properly. You are certainly not Sully or any closer to be a hero
