Grace causes us to instinctively obey God, it becomes our way of life-a new way of living.

There is something powerful at work in us and it is not the law, it is the grace of God which is vividly displayed in the cross of the God/man who gave us his all. Christ in us our hope of glory, not the law in us our hope of glory.
Try to understand this, I am not ignoring the importance of the law in the scheme of God, but it is all about our perspective. I see the law as being perfect to the man who is able to keep it-Jesus who had no sin. For the rest of us the law condemns us because it reveals our sin and points us to a savior. The law was never intended to save but rather was used as a schoolmaster to reveal our sin. Are you a sinner? If you say yes then it is the law that taught you that.
Yes, love is the greatest. And knowledge without love cannot do the will of God. Yet truth surpasses love. This is what II John 9-11 is telling us, which also is in accord with all Jesus taught and the great commission and Acts 2:38,39 and Acts 3:22,23. Do recall that for some reason Paul said in I Cor 7:19 that what matters most is keeping the commandments of God. Jesus also taught this - and that love has to be at the center of it all. And we show our love for Him by honoring, learning, growing in what it can accomplish in our lives and testimony of Jesus Christ to the world, and put what God has said and our love for Him as the most important thing in our life. Love for God goes hand in hand with love for all His children.

Yes I agree with that. 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied:“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it:‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

The amazing thing is that even Gentiles, who do not have God's written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. I believe this is based on the greatest command not the physical demands of the law.

When we stop and help someone in need we are like the good Samaritan who was considered unclean to Jews. He was keeping the very law that those who passed by on the other side were breaking. Today we have Christ in us our hope of Glory...

Can anyone show when God removed the 4th commandment?
In Hebrews its speaks of a rest IN CHRIST. I'd disagree on this but do not really have much to say. I was raised to think Sunday was the day of the Lord. I hardly have time to look at this site let alone dive into a study like this. My understanding is we are not under the Law of Moses.

i am so relieved to find that some are observing The Sabbath on the 7th day. The evidence is over whelmingly in favor of 7th day Sabbath. I would like to gather on the day as per the Command to gather and do a Scripture study. 46151

All food is supposed to be prepared the day before. I hope you did not put milk in your cereal this morning, if strictly observed, that would be a work causing you to break the Sabbath. Since Jesus is my sabbath rest, I do not get condemned.

Are you sure putting milk on food is violation of the sabbath? Im not sure of all the Laws about the sabbath but this almost sounds like the Pharisee view of the sabbath when they attack Christ disciples for picking grain and eating it.

You are probably right but my point is, today's sabbath keepers do not keep the sabbath the way it is written in the law.

For instance, there was not supposed to be any fire used for cooking but today's sabbath keepers have no problem using the microwave.

Another thing often overlooked is that the Jews were under the animal sacrifice system that pushed their sin forward a year at a time, so if they messed up their sin would not be charged against them until the next years passover where it would be moved forward another year. We are under the law/freedom supplied by grace and our sin is not charged against us. Make no mistake we all have daily sin for which God's grace covers just like those under the law. Keeping the Sabbath is fine with me if that is something people want to do, but it is no longer a binding system because Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice-once for all time. Keeping the sabbath is part of the law system which requires an annual passover. The issue is the Pharisaical way that sabbath keepers seem to want to bind their view on others as a necessary/salvation issue all the while thinking they are better than those of us who view every day as special-including Sunday. They foolishly refer to sun-day as worship to the sun god, forgetting that Saturday is known as saturn-day worship to the saturn god, both of which are outside of Christianity as we do not worship any day, we worship the creator of each and every day.

Unless you put an original wrapper sandwich from Arby's in the microwave! ;) I would think the sparks would count as fire! ;)

I did exactly that a few years ago and it actually did start a fire. We had to call the repairman out to fix it:-)
