Its good you are starting to understand how insufficient you are with your filthy rags of righteousness. Thanks God for Jesus and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, which enables us to stand before God. Amen Shawn Paden, glad to see you on board ;)

When we seek to imitate the righteousness of Jesus, that is His righteousness and not ours.

Self righteousness is not doing what we think, it is in agreeing with Jesus and doing what He said.

Gotta check my comments before pressing 'post':-)

Self righteousness is doing what we think, real righteousness is agreeing with Jesus and doing what He said.

There, I think I said what I meant to say that time....it's been a long day.

So what does Jesus righteousness mean far as our standing before God?

Are you saying you can do better than Jesus?

Again, are you COC? The more we talk, the more I think you are Apostolic or Pentecostal oneness-Jesus only.

Jesus' righteousness and God's Grace are the only things that will save us when we stand before God in Judgment.

That would be pretty arrogant to think oneself greater than His Lord. But did Jesus say to try to be like Him?

I used to be COC. Of all the churches out here I'm not familiar with 'apostolic', and no, I'm not a Pentecostal oneness- Jesus only, but that does sound worth looking at.

No, just an independent disciple who studied what Jesus said in the Bible record for a while. There were enough falsehoods being taught by everywhere I tried to attend that I didn't attend anywhere for a couple of years and just immersed myself into learning what He did teach. Sort of on the principle of 're evaluate all you have been told is true and reject that which offends your soul. Just a pure desire to hear Jesus and not someone else - so if that makes me Jesus only, so be it.

Why should we need more? The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Titus 2:11,12) teaches man that grace includes a law for man to obey.

The grace of God brought us Jesus who was willing to die for you and I upon the cross. That same grace and that same Jesus brought us the law which went out from Jerusalem according to (Isa. 2:3)(Luke 24:47).

Those who obeyed the Law which went forth from Jerusalem that day of Pentecost was placed within the grace of the Lord (within the church /the body)(Acts 2:36-47)(Eph.1:3)(2Tim. 2:10).

There are other verses which teach the alien sinner how to become a Christian. To do this the alien sinner must obey the law which went forth from Jerusalem (Rom.6:3-6 ; 16-18)(Acts 2:36-47)(Gal.3:27).

You cannot have grace without a law according to the word of God.(Titus 2:11,12). How does God teach man to do what is listed in verse 12?

He does it by the NT Law which went forth from Jerusalem (Isa.2:3)(Acts 2:36-47)(Jer.31:31-34). But denoms teach something much different than the Law which went forth from Jerusalem, just ask them (sinners prayer)(faith only)(Grace only).

They claim you cannot do anything to be saved or you are a false teacher, then they turn right around and tell people they must believe, confess, repent, and then say the "sinner's prayer" to be saved.

Well I thought you could not do anything to be saved?

33 For God is not the author of confusion,...(1Cor.14;33)

Belief is a WORK according to God (John 6:29).

This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent (John 6:29).

Well, Mr. Moore only quoted half the 'truth':-)

He have John 8:32 and said only the truth will set you free. Lets see the completeness of what Jesus said, not a half verse.

"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him. "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

This was a conditional statement.
1. By abiding in His word we will be His disciples indeed.
2. By abiding in His word we then receive the knowledge of the truth He spoke of therein.
3. When we know this truth, by believing and doing what He said (His word), we are made free.

Free from what?

Jesus goes on identify freedom from sin. The implication is that if He is our Lord, we are free from the bondage of sin.

43: If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded froth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do."

When we abide in His word, He renews our mind and lives to set us free to live for Him, because we want to live for Him and please Him. As Peter said,'to who else can we go? You alone have the words of eternal life.'

I do wish CoC would start teaching all of a though, instead of cutting these verses in half. And is a conjunction, and if is a condition. These were not to be separated to then claim a half truth is the whole truth.

Nice video though.

Notice about 21 minutes into the discussion where the Presbyterian said Jesus made a mistake. He claims an anointing from the Holy Spirit.
