Im a lawyer and ive known and observed rhonda for many years. She is good. If she werent good, she would not have so many clients. I suspect there are people who either didnt want to pay their bill and became upset because she would not work for them for free (which is a common client expectation in family practice), or they were such terrible clients that there was not much she could do for them and they didnt want to hear that or take her advice. She has done a lot of good for a lot of clients over the years. People are always going to gripe about something. Its just the nature of the business, and it happens frequently in the family law arena. Complaints are just that. they can be completely unfounded and even filed by the opposing party. They dont mean anything unless they result in discipline by the ARDC. Look her up at www.iardc.org . She has never been disciplined. Many other lawyers have. She is a good lawyer and a good person. People should really stop all of the defamatory comments on here. Might get you sued someday.

I read chompers51, "complaints don't matter unless they result in discipline".???
Wow ,great analogy! I ihave been in the courtroom for years, and the bizarre behavior of Rhonda Fiss , towards even her clients,...whose interest she is suppose to be protecting. The only thing successful about Rhonda is that she has gone so long without being disbarred, I like that someone is collecting info on her now! We need to clean up St Clair county from these types of lawyers. Until that I believe " where there is smoke there is fire. "Maybe the News Democrat will repost the 40 plus complaints I saw just a few weeks ago ,that Rhonda threatened to sue them and they took off? This is a
Forum for information. BNB let the readers decide for themselves!
Oh by the way this is one persons opinion ,I am confident you as a reader can make your own judgement! It just reinforces your concerns by just by being here and reading this ,says your concerns are valid.
If you have not retained a lawyer yet, please do your homework, select wisely.

Ask her client for whom she recently achieved a record 3.2 million dollar -- that is $3,200,000.00 -- verdict for in Monroe County if her behavior is bizarre or if she didn't protect his interests. I'll bet he would disagree with you and all the other seemingly disgruntled crazies on here. Seems she is successful at things other than avoiding disbarment. Get a clue.

Seems like you all would be more worried about banks stealing property using forged paperwork in our courts every day after getting paid for those defaulted loans more than once before they take the property besides.

And will be there to see if this is true.I hope this is not true because I hate to see anyone loose their job and that could get her barred

Stay away. I agree!!!!! She will not communicate with you and she fired me after I started asking questions. She showed up two hours late to my hearing, tried two others cases up and down the court hallways, didn't present any of the evidence I gave her and complained about it being after lunch time so she and the judge just slopped together temporary orders. She then told me just bw happy I got something from my husband to support my children!!!! I was floored. I got all the evidence that she requested and was told she would not talk to me and she was busy doing more important cases. Do not use this attorney. She just wants money and does not care about you. I am reporting her!!!! She is discusting.

I've heard the exact same complaints. Gets retainer and you don't hear from her. She makes decisions without your knowledge.
She keeps getting clients because of the same reasons the same democrats in the area keep getting voted in. She's a known name and survives off if that.

I lived in Missouri and someone wrote horrible things about my mother after she died. There were bold lies and some things were truth.. about what she died of.. but it was no one else's business. All I had to so is hit report abuse.. tell them why I wanted it taken down and it was in about a week so its not hard to have something taken down.

Worst experience I have ever financially and emotionally had to go through. No exaggeration. Warn everyone you know that they won't get a call back, you are charged for every little thing, she's never available (except to take your retainer fee), and the office is run by insolent employees who mess up a lot but don't seem to care to rectify anything. They ONLY thing functioning well in this practice is the billing. It's impeccable.
