ex-Caseyvillian we know it is you Larry Wetzel. Moving down south. One good thing is you are out of Illinois. GREAT NEWS..........
Attacking everyone will not help you change. What about Mr. Lantz saying " Larry Wetzel is the new Larry Wetzel". If that isn't a bunch of dog do do. Larry Wetzel is a convicted felon and will attack anyone who disagrees with him including Kelly Davis Trustee of Caseyville. Wetzel is not a happy person and wants no one else to be happy. He has destroyed his life with all of his silliness and he wants to destroys everyone he dislikes.
Wetzel's attempt to build a windmill in Caseyville has become a big bust. Wetzel altered a building permit to appear he had permission to build a 120 ft. windmill. It was up to Caseyville officials to bring Wetzel to justice. Wetzel was convicted of four felony forgery charges. Because he was convicted Wetzel wants to attack the officials who are protecting the city of Caseyville and the people who live in Caseyville. That is the whole reason Wetzel attacks the trustees of Caseyville.
Wetzel can not and will not go by rules and regulations. That is why he is a convicted felon. Wetzel has been skirting the law for over 33 years. Wetzel has cost the taxpayers of Illinois a lot more money than that windmill would have ever saved.

Larry Wetzel is gone from Illinois. Everyone should feel sorry for where ever Wetzel is living. It is a dark day when the Wetzel's move into your town, county, neighborhood etc. Larry Wetzel is a convicted felon. Wetzel forges documents.
Caseyville residents can jump for joy they are almost Wetzel free. Until his business sells the disease is still in Caseyville.
Everyone should shed a tear of Wetzel's new neighbors and the town he has slithered too.

Belleville News Democrat reported, "Bruce Brandwein, the Chicago lawyer who represented Wetzel, told jurors the state never proved that Wetzel altered the permit or knew that it had been altered before he showed police and the court clerk." When Judge Eckert continued Wetzel's sentencing date on 11/13/09 due to an Interlocutory Appeal notice from the Appellate Ct., did Judge Baricevic intervene over Judge Eckert’s ruling and dismiss Wetzel's Attorney then arrest him for being absent from the sentencing setting a $80,000.00 bond? Quixote ask, is Wetzel fighting an unbeatable foe' or will the truth set him free? How does one judge over rule the trial judge and then dismiss a citizen’s legal counsel prior to ordering him jailed without personal jurisdiction?

BND reported, "Wetzel obtained a permit to demolish a house and garage at 8801 Hatten St. in Caseyville in October 2006, but Assistant State's Attorney Tara Mendola told the jurors that Wetzel later showed Police Chief J.D. Roth an altered version of that permit that stated Wetzel was allowed to build a windmill and power building." When Wetzel showed the same J.D. Roth that he had an Interlocutory Appeal and jurisdiction with the Appellate Court on 11/13/09, Roth telephoned Judge Baricevic who ordered Wetzel to be jailed again with another $80,000.00 bond for his felony, grievous and society threatening crime of forgery of altering a $44.00 construction permit. Village Attorney wrote on 8/28/09," Prior applications were received by the Village and were denied."
BND reported, State's Attorney Jim Fuld said during his closing argument. "He didn't want to follow the rules. He didn't want to spend the time and money and go through the processes." The Village of Caseyville's attorney wrote the AG on 8/28/09,"Please note that no building permit applications are currently pending." Prior applications have been received and denied." " The Village of Caseyville obtained an injuction in court against Mr. Wetzel and the construction was halted." Quixote asks,“Did Wetzel pay for a commercial lot, demolished a house, bought a U.L. wind turbine approved by Nat'l Electric Code, paid Ameren to tie to the grid metering, paid EPA for permit, hired lawyers and engineers but he is found guilty of (4) felony forgeries of a $44.00 permit that has cost him over $50,000.00 in legal fees, bond and his freedom but he doesn't play by their rules???? Whose rules? Is Judge Baricevic the brother to Dennis Baricevic? Could there be a personal vendetta here or just judicial abuse or is it an "Impossible dream" to construct a wind turbine in small town America because the monopoly utilities do not like the slightest hint of competition?

Corrections on comment Don Quiote aka Larry Wetzel.
1. BND reported that Wetzel battled Fairview Heights not Dennis Baricevic over the use of animals at Wetzel's Richfield Rd. address. Dennis Baricevic had three cows that were grandfathered in because the cows were on the property prior to Fairview Heights annexing the Baricevic's property into the city.
2. On 11/13/09 Wetzel failed to appear in court for the third time. That is why the case was continued not because of any Interlocutory Appeal. Judge Eckert was out ill and Judge John Baricevic was on the bench in her place. Judge Baricevic put a bench warrant out for Larry Wetzel's arrest because he was a no show for the third time.
3. Wetzel's attorney Bruce Brandwein asked Judge Baricevic to withdraw from case because of the total disrespect by Larry Wetzel toward him and the court and the countless amount of useless documents filed without his knowledge by Wetzel. Judge Baricevic granted Brandwein's motion to withdraw.
4. Does Larry wetzel have a problem with the Baricevic's doing their jobs? I would say yes. Wetzel blames the Baricevic's and everyone else for his stupidity of forging a building permit and breaking the law.
5.Wetzel obtained a permit to demolish a house on Hatten St. that is true enough, but then altered that permit to appear he had permission to build a 120-foot wind turbine. AND then was so arrogant to show an altered/ forged permit to the chief of police of Caseyville and a clerk at the St. Clair County court house. AND then Wetzel called Channel 2 NEWS Dan Gray to come and do a story on his fight with Caseyville. Pointing out, on camera to Dan Gray the altered portion of the permit, which had been laminated.
6. Reported by the Collinsville Herald on 1/27/08 Larry Wetzel admitted to modifying the permit. Quote: " I added the line to the permit both the destruction of the home and the building of the wind turbine and signed it with by own signature."
7. Reported in the Collinsville Herald on 10/2/09 when Wetzel was asked did he add the extra line? wetzel strongly denies any wrongdoing. Quote: " To this day I don't know where that line came from." My question is: Can't Wetzel keep his stories straight?
8. It is hard to believe that a building permit to build a 120-foot wind turbine would cost only $44.00, but let us say that is true for the sake of an argument. The truth is Caseyville does not allow such a project in the area of 8800 Maple Ave. where Wetzel's business is located. Mayor Chance of Caseyville stated that in the BND.
9. Caseyville did get an injunction in court to halt the construction of the wind turbine, but Wetzel did not stop. He continued to construct the turbine receiving an additional 9 violations for building without a permit. Those cases are to be heard on March 24, 2011 in Fairview Heights, IL.
10. In Don Quiote's aka Larry wetzel's last paragraph he states he paid for a commercial lot, demolished a house, bought a wind turbine, paid Ameren to tie into the grid metering, paid EPA for a permit, hired lawyers and engineers, but there was one thing he never did. Wetzel never asked Caseyville or St Clair County if a wind turbine was allowed in his area. Don't you think that would be the first thing you would do before you spent a dime or did anything? Now Wetzel wants everyone to feel sorry for him paying $50,000.00 for the turbine and lawyers fees. There is not enough mental health counseling as Judge Eckert ordered Wetzel to do during sentencing on 4/9/2010 twice a month to fix stupid.

Being a public servant in the fine city of Caseyville for many years and recently moving away from Caseyville I thought it was needed after I saw the comment from a Don Quiote to reveal the truth and not let the facts be left behind. Caseyville is a small town with hard working people in it. The town has had some bad publicity in the past, but still keeps moving on. The city paid a lot of money defending their zoning rules dealing with Larry Wetzel. His total disregard for the fine people of Caseyville was very hard to take. So that is why I had to tell the truth about Don Quiote's comment. Maybe Don doesn't really know and is guessing. He did put a lot of ?????? behind his sentences.

I knew Larry Wetzel used other peoples names and email addresses to write comments to praise himself to be a hero to the human race, but I found out a few things.

Larry Wetzel's mother was Mary Manning Wetzel of Jesup Ga.

Larry Wetzel's step brother is Michael Manning of Wilkesboro, N.C.

Check out the city, state and comment of Don Quiote above-- Wilkesboro, N.C. daaaa

Does Larry Wetzel really think he can fool everyone by using his brothers computer to write a comment? hahahaha

A lawsuit filed against Judge Baricivic and ASA Fuld by Cortez Richardson and Larry Wetzel while Wetzel was in jail over the Christmas 2009 has been dismissed by Judge Herndon July 22,2010.

Cortez Richardson has been sentenced to life in prison as a Habitual Criminal on Nov. 22, 2010.

Larry Wetzel left Illinois to a new location after he was sentenced to 4 counts of felony forgery with his tail between his legs.

Wetzel and Richardson filed the lawsuit saying they were wrongly incarcerated.

There are only 10 people imprison as a Habitual Criminal in the State of Illinois and Cortez Richardson is one of them.

Larry Wetzel failed to appear in court three times is the reason Wetzel was jailed. Wetzel forfeited $8000 in bond money. More money than brains?

A sex offender also had his name on the lawsuit with Wetzel and Richardson but scratched it off.???

Words in the Post Dispatch
For more than three years, Larry Wetzel has been locked in a battle with Caseyville officials over a windmill.
Wetzel, 46, is vice president of Vehicle Doctor, a car repair shop situated near the intersection of Illinois Route 157 and Interstate 64. He said he decided to put up a 120-foot wind machine outside his business not only to generate electricity but because he was trying to do the right thing.
"I thought it would make jobs for the community, and I thought it would be a good public relations measure to show that I wanted to go green," he said.
But he ran into a problem with city officials over a building permit and zoning restrictions.
"He's done everything wrong," said Caseyville Mayor George Chance. "He has not filled out the proper permits. He wanted to put the thing way up in the air, and we don't allow it in the area that he's in."
Wetzel said he first realized the problem in the summer of 2007, after he bought the wind turbine, laid concrete and hired workers to install it. He said several police officers arrived in tactical gear with guns drawn and took him away in handcuffs.
Caseyville Police Chief J. D. Roth denied that, saying he showed up with one other officer to check whether Wetzel had the proper paperwork for the job. No guns were drawn, and Wetzel was not physically arrested, although he was issued tickets for ordinance violations.
Roth said Wetzel got into trouble because he didn't have a valid permit to build the windmill. He had a building permit that was issued to demolish a burnt house and garage in 2006. It included wording officials said Wetzel added later to allow the windmill.
Police charged Wetzel with four counts of forgery.
"Why else would they be so stressed out over a windmill?" he asked. "I'm not proposing anything to do with drugs, a dance parlor or gambling."
Village officials deny politics are at play in the tangled mess and said that some residents oppose Wetzel's plan. The mayor said Wetzel's run-in with the town is unusual for the longtime businessman who used to be an auxiliary police officer.
"I've known him for quite a few years," Chance said. "His father had a body shop for years, and then his father passed away, and he took it over. I don't think he's ever been in any trouble with anything else that I know of."
Wetzel's office is lined with legal books, and on a recent visit, his desk had a Bible, the Illinois State Statutes and the Illinois criminal code — three books he said are closely related and that he referred to regularly.
"Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are God-given rights," he said. "It starts out with the Constitution, and then it flows into the statutes and then those statues flow into the criminal code, which originates from the Bible."
He pulled documents from a stuffed briefcase showing he had entered into an agreement with Ameren
"I'm one day away from producing renewable energy," he said.
But given the history of the dispute and the law, it seems unlikely that the standoff will end soon.
Leigh Morris, spokesman for Ameren Illinois, said agreements like the one Wetzel signed with Ameren require customers to comply with local, state and federal rules, regulations and codes.

In December, meanwhile, he erected on his property a 25-foot windmill that he covered with Christmas lights and a sign still is on display that says simply, "Liberty."

CASEYVILLE -- Police officer Steve Epps used an Illinois State Police computer check to run a romantic rival's license plate number, then sent a fax to the man's boss to report the man was driving recklessly in a company vehicle.
But the man wasn't in Caseyville, according to documents released to the News-Democrat under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. He was parked at Epps' former girlfriend's home in Swansea.
Epps was the subject of an official misconduct investigation launched by Chief J.D. Roth, who referred the case to ISP's Public Integrity Unit. St. Clair County State's Attorney Robert Haida declined charges against Epps.
Roth declined to comment.
Epps said in an interview he was just doing his job by sending the fax about the reckless driving.
Epps was suspended without pay in December and faced dismissal after Roth accused him of violating department rules. Eight of the village's 10 police officers later signed a petition asking for the chief's ouster.

Hey! Beth maybe the water???????News-Democrat Friday, April 21, 2000

CASEYVILLE - Police received six separate reports from callers between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m.Thursday, all reporting a strange light in the sky within a radius of a couple of miles, Caseyville Sgt J.D Roth said.

The first report came in about 3:30 a.m Thursday from a woman who said she saw unusual lights in the horseradish field west of Illinois 157 behind St. Stephens Catholic church , Roth said. He and officer Steve Epps left the station and searched the field but found nothing.

Just then, dispatchers told Roth that a St. Clair county sheriffs department deputy on Interstate 255 reported seeing lights in a field over Caseyville about a mile north of the original sighting.

Membership has its advantages, as an ad campaign once asserted, but as Shakespeare counters, the truth will win out, which is the case in this week's Top 5 Police Blunders. For this episode's malfeasance champ, Lt. Jim Broderick, that's disturbing news, because he's accused of withholding evidence and perjuring himself to convict an innocent man of murder...

"Don't get mad, get even" could be Caseyville, Illinois officer Steve Epps' credo. According to Epps, he was just doing his job when in late November he faxed Munie Greencare Professionals about one of their employees' reckless driving, and requested information on the driver of the truck the night before.

Of course, the driver in question, Matt Kohnen, hadn't been in Caseyville or even on the road that night. But he was, coincidentally, parked in the driveway of Epps' ex-girlfriend. After receiving a call from Kohnen, Chief J.D. Roth looked into the matter and discovered the department hadn't received any reckless driving complaints.(There was however a big box of complaints about people sleeping with ex-girlfriends.)

When Roth interviewed the ex-girlfriend, she reported that Epps had "done things like this is the past." In the course of investigating Epps, temporarily suspending him and eventually recommending his dismissal, Roth discovered the ten-year veteran had that same month spent a couple nights with a woman in a hotel while on-duty.(Presumably undergoing on-the-job grief counseling.)

While Epps' charms may have gone unappreciated by his ex, they weren't lost on his fellow officers, who queued up behind him like a stadium bathroom line during the 7th inning stretch. Eight of the department's ten officers signed a petition calling for the chief's ouster. Then again, who doesn't hate their boss?

Epps was never charged, and was reinstated after a village arbitration hearing. You certainly won't find a link to any of this on his Match.com page.
