I think it's great to see it go!! Does anyone have any ideas on what the City of Collinsville has in mind as far as new development?

Yes, it was about time they wrecked that shithole down. ((They should go knock down the projects and idlewood next.)) Knock the shit out of this town, it's time to clean up.

I agree that it was time to see becks lodge go...place was an eyesore. I go back to C'ville time to time and i have to agree some areas look pretty bad. I hope one day the town can recapture the good old days i fondly remember when i grew up there.

I agree - we need to do some serious clean up. I was beyond THRILLED to not see Beck's Lodge on that nasty corner on my way out of town for my morning commute..

I remember perusing craigslist for property and development sites... Guess what I came across at one point in time over a year ago..

"Formerly Beck's Lodge for Sale - some smoke and fire damage, but other than that sturdy building on prime property."

WHAT?! SOME fire damage???? One whole side of the building was charred ass black and boarded up...

Thank god that never came to fruition and ended up getting torn down.

I stayed a few nights there while I was banging out a hooker I met at the casino - no wonder I got divorced. The rooms were dated but the bed worked fine.

It was in the 11oo block of St. Louis Rd on the west end of town. It sat right across the street from Mike's Automotive.

I loved Beck's Lodge Y'all [email protected] in CaseyVille better shut the [email protected] up. Now I am homeless and giving handies for [email protected] in East St. Louis cause Beck's burned down. That place was so nice. I loved it and miss it so much. :( I can't get an apartment cause I got too many felonies and am a pedophile.

Back in the day, Beck's lodge was a last resort haven for me. A good place to go when there weren't a lot of options. After working many long exhausting hours and driving many miles on my daily commute, it sure felt great to be able to shower, eat and sleep there, all utilities included. Sadly, it became a demolition project and the new clientele were given the boot. Such is life !

what the city didnt report is they blocked the sale of it several times because the interested buyers were minorities. how do ya like that for leadership?
