This is happening everywhere, but it's time to shine a light on it. Watch, as this Collinsville cop clearly violates a mans civil liberties. Imagine if this happened to you.... this man should not have a job.

the camera guy talks like he knows his shit, bu he has no clue..plus he does have a prior..

my guess is a tip was placed to local agencies indicating a vehicle from ohio would be moving heroin across the area...

that would not be unheard of...

his civil rights were not violated...he is just a whiny bitch...

i have been pulled over that general area...

they did the same and i told them to save us all the time and go forth with what they needed to look for...

they found nothing and i was on my way...

i did not mind being there for 30 minutes because i know what they were looking for..and if they found heroin by luck on a random traffic stop..me, you, whoever..it is a small price to pay to save lives...

the problem with this country is not the police..
it is individuals who think they are the only person in this world that matter..

probation so yes and no..but arrests and OP info can be used not only by police as a benchmark, but also by prosecution in showing behavioral patterns..

TY!

i said something months ago and caught hell for it..

i said the majority of heroin incidents stemmed one way shape or form from collinsville...

now here we are months later..look at all of the heroin overdose cases...

nearly 80 percent stem back to collinsville..

the police must be let to do their jobs if the better people are expected to have a chance in this world...

I agree get the heroin off the streets but this officer is full of SH*T, don't see the swerve footage, coercing the dog into a false scent(which gave him the right to search illegally which violated the drivers' civil rights),lying about weed being on the floor, he's also been fired for lying about a drug case(sound familiar) convicted of crime (selling fake counterfeit oakley sunglasses), I guess his record didn't get expunged well enough either. If he's still wearing a badge that is BS. We're not supposed to lie to them, why is it they can lie AND violate someone's civil rights and not be punished for it? Jenny why aren't you posting this officers'criminal history???

most cops just make shit up to fit the situation - they know they have the upper hand because everybody takes the police word over the truth - they can pretty much do and say whatever they want with impunity - take the mitchell/uhl situation - he kills them - walks free and the State covers it all up for him - and we still end up paying him a pension - cops are above the law - instead of being examples of good law abinding citizens and not harassing their bread and butter (the tax payer) we get just the opposite -

The key word here is CAN be Used. A Judge will make that call not a cop. You do not have to say anything and you do not have to give permission for the search. 4th and 5th amnds. U.S. Constitution. A prior arrest is not probable cause.

We have these rights because many people faught and died to protect us from the abusive power that government can wield. Don't give in because you think you have to. You Don't!
I agree Cops have a tough job. I wouldn't want it. But, I will never give up my rights for anyone even a well meaning police officer. The next cop may not be so well meaning. These powers have been abused in the past. That is why we have laws protecting us and our property. If we continue to be sheeple we will eventually live in a dictatorship.
Patriot act anyone? wire-tapping with out a warrant? FBI listening in on the CIA directors phone and email? Really? This is all done under the patriot act. Who did he hurt other than his wife? Seriously did this effect his job performance? and don't give me the BS that he was shareing nat. security secrets. She was an army officer. This was a witch hunt with sex as the catalist. Who cares who the gen. was bagging. He was a good officer and an effective leader.

It is sickening to know the police are breaking the law and fall back on the "we are doing it for the greater good" excuse. If they can not do there jobs by following the rules then they need to be dismissed and replaced with someone who can do the job while following the rules. The officers in charge should be fired and all charged if at all possible. It is a sad day when those who are given the dutyto uphold the law are the ones breaking them.
