An East St. Louis police officer, arrested Friday in Belleville on a charge of obstructing a peace officer, contends she was arrested because of a complaint her sister filed against a Belleville officer.

Another example of not taking responsiblity for one's own actions. This has nothing to do with race. It has to do with inappropriate actions of an out of jurisdiciton police officer who thought she would get preferential treatment because she is a cop. Now, she's mad because her mouth back fired on her. Good for Clay.

I see that the lady has also filed a complaint with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the president of that organization, Johnny Scott, is looking into the matter.

However, the police chief, Clay, is black, and has said he will not let the race card be played in this case, so I'm not sure how Rev. Scott will handle this one.

I absolutely agree. I worked for Detective Sgt. Moody, he is black also. He was one of the most fair people I knew. He went through an ordeal himself and I am sure he will do the right thing.
