My family was so excited to here the water park opened on July 1st 2006; therefore, we packed up and traveled to Collins to enjoy a weekend at Grand Paradise Water Park only to find constuction was nowhere near completion. Due to this false advertizement and failure to keep the website up to date, we were disappointed rather having a weekend of family fun. As I speak for others as well, summer break is so short and if the website had been up to date we could have made other plans for this weekend.

THIS PARK IS OPEN.......And is so much fun! Go to the site...look around!!!! I had so much fun now I have season passes for the whole family. It's about time someone in Collins gave our children a safe and cool place to spend their summer!

We loved it! I have 3 small children: ages 2,4,&6 yrs. old. There was plenty to keep them busy all day! The lifeguards are great. They even learned my childs name and made the experience more personal. Everyone was friendly & helpful. The park is very clean too, even the restrooms. I would love to take my kids every day if I could.

We really love the park. My fam has season passes and we go several times during the week when its not crowded. We really wnt the park to stay and prosper through the years. The life guards and staff are great. the food is good and the gift shop is filled with everything you need if you forget something. Ilike that the park is not to big and you can let your big kids go off without you. its really nice and i have been very impressed by most aspects of the park.
I have a 3 and 11 yr old. I have a few suggestions that i hope someone from the park will read. Ther is no comment or suggestion section on the web page.
The water ft. is great. We really like it but my 3 yr old is too little to ride on the green wtr slide that in the wtr ft but my 11 yr old is to tall to ride with him. he wants to ride it but he wont go alone. I suggest having small children be able to be with an adult or bigger child. if the slide is not able to hold a bigger child or adult I suggest adding a slide that small children and adults/bigger kids can both ride together.
The bridge over the river is great for wet feet but not for dry feet-slippery. when you step on to the cement at he bottom of the bridge-can be slippery when wet. Ive seen sev people icluding myself slip on this spot.. i almost fell carrying my 3yr old and i was being careful.
The-white colored- wtr height markers around the pools are very slippery. ive seen sev people slip on them including my children.
i would also like to see an area designated for swimming. Sometimes the lazy river can get crowded with tubes and all the kids swimming and doing all their tricks. Ive seen several children get pushed against the side by tubes. I think a pool of 3 to 4 ft would be great for kids to swim around in addition to the river.
Also, My 11 yr old wont ride on the big slides because they are mostly tube/tunnel slides which can be kind of scary for kids especially kids with clostorphopia.I would like to see more slides that are open completely with no tunnels.
I hope these suggestions are read and maybe taken into consideration when improvements and and add-ons are made. Thanks! JS

The owner's are so rude and unprofessional, well, at least the one I dealt with was!!!!!
I left a very expensive bathing suit there and didn't realize it for a week or two. I called them expecting assistance and all I got was I dunno.... I called back several times because no one could tell me what they did with their lost and found. Finally, I talked to one of the female owner's and she said, "Well, you shouldn't have left it here!" She said that the Mexican family that cleans takes the lost and found and gives it to their church. I didn't get an apology or any help at all!!! She could have offered to ask the worker's about my bathing suit, she could have been professional and offered a free pass as an apology. It's called running a business the right way...I know this lady should NOT be running any kind of business!!!
