some people claim third cousin and some does not, it is according to how close they are.

Once a third cousin, always a third cousin. Doesn't matter if you claim it or not - they're still a third cousin. I'm a little curious as to why you asked the question AND answered it.

If you have the same grandparents you are first cousins If you have the same g-grandparents - 2nd cousins If you have the same g-g-grandparents - third cousins. and so on and so forth.
My aunt's child is my first cousin. My first cousin's child would be my first cousin, once removed. That child's child would be my first cousin, twice removed and so on and so forth.
The same would go for second cousins and thier children, and so on and so forth.

Another way of looking at it - is to say you are the same relationship to a person that your parent or grandparent is - only you are one or two generations removed. Your parent's 1st cousin is your 1st cousin, once removed. Your grandparent's 1st cousin is your 1st cousin, twice removed. Your parent's 2nd cousin is your 2nd cousin, once removed. First cousins are in the same generation - 2nd cousins are in the same generation - 3rd cousins are in the same generation and so on.
