I guess Catholic Churches aren't the only things to close and merge.*LOL*
I do know some Barrington residents who are hoping that Barrington Police department will close and merge to Haddon Heights. Afterall, they do share PBA. Especially, if it could save them on their taxes.(Also, the towns could save money if they can get state and/or federal grants to cover an officer.)Prior to disband Swedeboro had officers who were on state and federal grants.
Maybe towns will merge to save on services and council, staff budgets and pensions costs.
Now, the Catholic Church closings are a little different story. There are many mergers and closures that just don't make sense and would cause travel and other hardships; more harm then good.
