my school doesn't have dress code but i believe that i would like to, because it is much easier in the morning to choose clothes.however i also think that we have the right of wearing whatever we want, so i think that we must choose the uniforms and be allowed to acessorize them

2. There has been a trend in recent years to institute school dress code policies or the requirement of wearing uniforms in order to achieve a variety of goals including better classroom management and overall student improvement. The debate over uniforms or dress codes is wide, involving parents, students, teachers, and administrators of campus. Do uniforms or dress codes really work?
Most schools have regulations on how students dress. The intent is to keep students safe and focused on academics. As schools look at introducing policies involving dress codes and uniforms, important questions regarding the efficacy of such policies remain unanswered.
3. Really colleges are last chance for enjoying life. People really enjoy wearing new things everyday and commenting on others clothes is really entertaining. But dressing seductively is a great distraction to the opposite sex. It only makes sense to put restrictions on what can be worn to school. Sexual thoughts are already frequent in middle school and high school. Most students do not need visual aids. The imagination is active enough.
1. More and more public schools are switching to uniforms. This custom used to be reserved for private and Catholic schools but public schools are finding some positive results. When students wear uniforms to school, no one can tell who has more money. The latest expensive jeans can't be shown off along with the designer polo.
Dress codes are more appealing because they still allow for some variety and individuality within established boundaries. Button-down shirts or polo shirts allow for personal expression while keeping the overall look of the student body the same. Dress codes, however, may be more difficult to enforce. Dress codes open the door to interpretation.
Courts have sided with school systems adopting uniforms and dress codes if the goal is to further the process of education. In May 2008, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit upheld a Nevada policy, stating that the school district’s policy was “consistent with the…goals of creating…productive, distraction-free educational” environments.
The court’s decision reflects a chief goal advanced by schools for uniforms and/or dress codes: creating a less distractive educational environment that enables better classroom management and promotes a higher degree of learning.
4. Recently in Uttar Pradesh, It was about an association of college principals in Uttar Pradesh deciding to ban students from wearing jeans when they came to study. An office bearer of the association said the move would “strengthen discipline and regulation” and prevent students from wearing “indecent clothes”. The move is not a new development in Uttar Pradesh. Four women’s colleges in Kanpur have banned their students from wearing jeans, which they said was necessary to prevent them from being “molested”. As expected, students are holding protests against the proposal. It reminded me that despite all the talk of development, we still retain a regressive mindset.
5. If there is not necessity of dress code, students wear costly cloths. But if students wear dress cloths the have to purchase it ones. And I have already stated that this will not show the richness and poorness.
6. I should say girls; show more and more skin than cloths are just either or girls that just wanna get attention to have people look at them. So because of this if students wear like this type of cloths daily then how can other student study well? And again I am recalling that this is the invitation to rape.

according to me, my point of view there should be dress code in the college. college is not meant for fashions shows this the place where we get the vidhya , ab ye mat puchna ki vidya kaun hai coz i cant giv answer it is what we call personal.dresses create status difference and our dress shows our thinking how the way we think our dress is our mirror. i think for the purpose of unity there should be one dress for all the member of the college whether it is the director of the college or the guard of the college.and it also help in maintaining the disipline of the college, if we wear formal dress then it creates lot of energy in us we think we are here for some work something important and study is more important than anything else in our life. so there should be dress code in the college.
