Long-vacant home development reborn as Collierville project gets a fresh start

That area of Collierville, which is north of Collierville High School, is popular because of its proximity to several schools, W.C. Johnson Park and walking trails, Lott said. Homes in the new subdivision will be between 3,000 and 4,200 square feet and sell from $350,000 to $500,000.
Magnolia has presold three homes in Village Park. Including the lot used for the pool, the five speculative houses and the model home, that's 10 lots down, 99 to go.
Why are they building such big houses there? Collierville has so many sub-divisions with two story 3000 + sq ft homes, Collierville needs a sub-division with single story homes 2000-2500 sq ft, all brick with energy efficient windows, heating and air, sprayed foam insulation, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, master bedroom with large bathroom and walk-in closet, open floor plan with a nice size kitchen and a double garage, there is no need to have a dining room or foyer. Design the homes like the older homes, a front porch and screened in patio's would be nice too.
