Does anyone know when the shopping center that has had the sign "coming soon" is gonna be here? Also is there a list of what stores and resturants are going in?

I think there is going to be a Wawa. At least that's what I remember reading in the township newsletter. I can't wait, I love Wawa, and that'd be such a convenient location for me. I'm not sure what else is going in.

Is this the land right near 422 adjacent to the Oaks Nursery? If so, that "Coming Soon" sign has been up for ~3 years. A very long time ago, I had heard about a possible Olive Garden going in there (and I believe there was an application for a liquor license posted).

A Wawa (and a gas station) makes a lot of sense at that location. I'm sure it would be very busy.

I believe the main holdup over the years has been storm water management and environmental impact issues on the Perkiomen Creek and nearby parks.

I've only heard of Wawa, Rite-Aid, a bank, a restaurant, and another 27k sqft of retail space.

I think an Olive Garden would go perfectly in Pad 6 of the 422/29 mall :-)

I heard it was supposed to be a Wawa, Chili's and Olive Garden.

Holdup is due to:
1) stormwater issues (addressed by recent construction down by the creek?)
and
2) An access rights issue for a plot of land behind where the two houses were torn down (someone owns land between the house lots and 422 and wants to have street access, so they are holding up any development until their demand is met).

It's been at least 4 years now - I did an MBA paper that mentions that that development back in Fall 2003...

Wawa and Chili's were confirmed tenants in the latest UP newsletter. According to Audubon Land Development, there's only one pad site for a restaurant.
