This ID stuff is tough. But what I want to know is how you function without one? For instance how do you:
Cash a check?
Use a credit card?
Get a passport?
Sign up for food stamps?
Sign up for unemployment?
Setup a checking account?
Answer, "Diver's license, registration, and insurance card, please.
But for voting, the people are just supposed to take your word for it?
Like no one would ever lie?
Vote early, and vote often.
you are confusing rights and priveledges.

"Best Senior Moment I've heard!

Here's a quote from a government employee who witnessed a recent interaction between an elderly woman and an antiwar protester.
There were protesters at the grocery store handing out pamphlets on the evils of America .
I politely declined to take one.
There was an elderly woman behind me and a young (20-ish) female protester offered her a pamphlet, which she politely declined.
The young protester put her hand on the old woman's shoulder as a gesture of friendship and in a very soft voice the young lady said,
"Lady, don't you care about the children of Iraq?"
The old woman looked up at her and said:
"Honey, my father died in France during World War II, I lost my husband in Korea , and a son in Vietnam ..
All three died so a bitch like you could have the right to stand here and badmouth our country.
If you touch me again, I'll stick this umbrella up your ass and open it."

False Logic Alert!
O'Romney Care was a State system not a National Mandate!
let me tell you aliitle aout obama care. got a friend who owns a small business and employs 18 emlployees.
he has provided medical coverage on the employee for years, he pays 100% of the premium.
he told me this weekend he just received word the insurance will be increasing $50.000. per year
now do you understand why small business is not expanding? and creating jobs.
unlike the big guys and obamas supporters he does noy have the option to opt out, so the alternative is tell the employee to get their own insurance in accordance with the individual mandate.
and do you know what happens when everyone has health care?
it will take 6 months to see your doctor. dont get sick and if you do die

It was Ronald Reagan who raised the retirement age to receive Social Security from 65 to 67. Now there are more calls from Republicans to raise it to 70. I have a name for them but it isn't socialists.

The Social Security system needs to be fully funded by congress. They "found" the money to fight an unnecessary war in Iraq, but they can't seem to find the money to operate Social Security, instead they wish to raise the retirement age and cut benefits from those who have paid into the system all their working lives.
Timbuck, since you and the rest of the neo-cons hate "socialism" SOOOO much.... maybe the answer to funding Social Security is for all of you to refuse to accept your benefits. That would go a long way toward solving the S.S. crisis for the rest of us and, make a great statement about how much you and your friends HATE socialism !!! No ???

I didn't think so !

"Veered Off the Tracks" ? They have become a train wreck of epic proportions. It is only the propaganda machine we have come to call "news" that allows their shenanigans to continue. IF there was any real news coverage of congress by anyone but a tiny segment of the print media, the curtain would be pulled back and the "wizard" would be revealed......The public.....well those members of the public who can think for themselves, would be outraged and the bums would be sent packing.

REPUBLICANS ARE HYPROCRITS,do as they say and not as they do..

Ayn Rand was definitely a piece of Cow Dung, on that we agree.
The philosophy and teachings of Ayn Rand are inextricably interwoven in the Republican Tea Party ideas. YOU, nor anyone else can separate Ayn Rand from the Republican Tea Party.
Ayn Rand's teachings and the teachings of Jesus Christ can NOT be reconciled.

You can NOT be a follower of Ayn Rand and a follower of Jesus Christ at the same time. That is like saying you embrace Satan and Jesus. Maybe a cartoon characterization will help you.

Jesus Christ would support National Health Care for ALL, NOT "For Profit" Health Care for those who can afford it.
