My husband were traveling through Madison recently and picked up a couple of nuts from the law of the courthouse in Madisonville. They're huge - about 2" long. The look like an oblong walnut. Anyone know what type of nut they are? I tasted one and it tasted like a pecan, but doesn't have the typical coloring of a pecan.
