That's funny considering the fact that most of the editors for the El Paso Times lack basic grammar skills.

Boy, they'll give an award to anyone nowadays. I wonder if it was that groundbreaking article they did on the prison beauty queen that got them the award.

I was not aware that the news reporting standards in Texas were that low!

The El Paso Times awarded newspaper of the year?!?

What next? Billy Abraham receiving the Landlord of the Year status?

Or, Rachel Quintana and Anthony Cobos recipients of the Most Principled and Ethically Responsible Politicians of the Year?

Yeah Right...Get real!

It takes me about five minutes to read the Sunday EPT. They should get a paper of the year award for the quickest paper to read. There is no creative reporting, just the usual reports they pick up at the Police Station or City Hall. Just reprinting what they are given.

I agree, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I noticed that the Times was awarded within the category of newspapers with 30,000 paper circulation. I am pleased to know that you beat out the newspaper in Alpine. That is a major achievement.

Apparently accurate and ethical reporting was not part of the criteria.

Hey, if I could reach to toot my own horn, I'd never leave home.
