Hunting ranches and the "canned hunts" they offer are a lousy substitute for really going out and finding your quarry. But what's really worse is the fact that the concentration of game animals on relatively small tracts of land increases the incidence of a variety of disease among wild animal populations. If people need a "canned hunt" to succeed in the field, they just shouldn't be licensed. No licenses for canned hunts on hunting ranches. This could be done federally, as these outfits endanger domestic livestock across state lines by creating "disease vectors" within wild game populations and domestic livestock.
