No so sweet charity by Obama

Full story: Daily Democrat

On a conference call with liberal religious leaders and activists this summer, President Obama said, "I know there's been a lot of misinformation in this debate, and there are some folks out there who are, frankly, bearing false witness, but I want everyone to know what health insurance reform is all about." He uses words like "ludicrous" and ...

The liberal media is so smitten with President Obama they paint him as a "do no wrong, always truthful" president. President Obama, his exec. staff, Speaker of the House Pelosi, Sen. Reid and most of the rest of the democratic/republican senate/congress twist info they give the american public to suit their needs. When we the american public are forced to purchase healthcare and told it's constitutionally sound, it's a lie. If it was within the boundaries of the constitution it would specify so (it doesn't and the broad phrase "common good" doesn't work although that's what they are trying to sell). The President and his cadre are selling us something that most americans are buying because they don't want to do the research, don't listen or read other sources other than the mainstream media (which is mostly all pro-Obama except for Fox News which now the govt. is trying to snuff out because they won't get on board) or just think the our govt. administration that is in place right now would never do anything illegal.

We are heading down a slippery slope when we are all forced to buy healthcare insurance from the government (instead of the govt. trying to figure out a way to cover the 12 million folks who can't get insured) and they start controlling executive saleries. Don't think for a moment that we aren't just a few steps away from them setting your salary limits too.

For those of you who voted for change and aren't to blind to see what is happening now, how do you like what you voted in? For those of us who knew this was going to be a mess, thank God (I can still say that without being put in jail for offending someone for now) our HOPE is not in Obama.

Good post, Charles. It seems that we are hearing about more and more people admitting that they have buyer's remorse.

People better get over their collective sweet tooth and stop asking for government "candy". It comes with a heavy price like an oxen yoke on your shoulders. They have been adding to the burden and now the people are beginning to suffer. If they drive the economy to collapse we will have a national crisis far worse than what the former Soviet Union went into. Russia is still in a state of crisis. How many decades will we be in a state of crisis? How do you want your grandchildren to live? Some people talk about the divide between the rich and the poor. We will see the middle class disapear and like Russia their will be a few wealthy elite and the rest are in abject poverty.

I voted but not for the government that is going to destroy the quality of my life.

Old and in the way, your wisdom speaks volumes as to the direction we are heading.

Big government is the problem not the solution. We need a DEMOCRATIC government, but not one that is going to try to control all that we do and say. Remember BIG BROTHER?
