Drink a few Lites over the weekend and go in Monday morning and no problems. Smoke a few joints over the weekend and go in Monday or the next two weeks, get in a random test and get fired with a drug related dismissal on your record. Which is more DANGEROUS to your job, your career, your family, or your future?

Fact is, legalizing marijuana as a "recreational drug" means more people driving under the influence, more traffic fatalities, more children becoming addicted to drugs. The biggest proponents of legalizing recreational marijuana are addicts themselves. No good will result from legalizing it. Are we telling our children it's OK to smoke now? Americans are pretty dumb.
There's a really good movie you should watch called Reefer Madness.

And illegal immigration is also illegal. Where does that get us? We have a HUGE population of illegal aliens, and the feds, whose law prohibits them does nothing to stop them.
Did you know that surveys have been done by several different organizations. The results are pretty much the same. First there are no crimes committed against persons while under the influence of T.H.C.(tetra-hydra conebinol). No one has ever died from the use of T.H.C. All the government would have to do is switch the names on the existing documents.Example:Marajuana would be legal but restricted use. Then make alcohol only legal under private conditions. And for anyone who thinks that a marijuana is passive and would not fight in a war is sadly mistaken. Now what govrnment experiments do is bring the truth forward. If for some reason the experiment fails then we simply put things back the way they were. Now as far as illegal imigrants go everyone who thinks that our government is not doing enough to protect our borders.Unlike you we have a heart and all they are trying to do is feed their families.Remember that none of us had a choice when we were born as to what and where we are born.Have a heart, iuf I can do it anyone can.

This does not show that cannabis is dangerous, only that prohibition of cannabis is dangerous, for your career, indeed. But that's given one more argument for its legalization. That was probably your point. I just clarify.

Legalization will not force companies with a written zero tolerance drug policy to allow MJ use on their premises UNLESS the laws requiring workman's comp insurance are dropped. The required policies are written by private insurance companies and they either will not write the policies or the cost will be so high the companies cannot afford it. There is no field test for MJ like the BAT for alcohol so that's why the WRITTEN policy states you can't have MJ in your system, on company premises, operating any machinery, and driving company vehicles during working hours. The random surprise pee tests will continue and those who can't follow rules will continue to get fired.

When the truth will get the general public, the insurance companies will pay you to use MJ instead of the legal common inefficacious and dangerous medications. The big lies will stop, soon or later, because we cannot afford them. Meanwhile people will continued to suffer from prohibition, and its nasty consequences on their private life, and criminals will continue to steal our money and health.

Go figure? Prohibition of alcohol, and of all drugs, has been from the start an idea of drug dealers. Prohibition of drugs is, from the start, a technic for
- selling much more drug through an underground market,
- targeting directly the youth with efficacious professional methods,
- selling with no control on price, nor taxes,
- selling products with no control of quality.
A large part of the benefits is used to corrupt the political system so as to preserve the prohibition law.
All the data are known and easily available. So a politician who still defend prohibition of any drug is either gravely incompetent, or is an ally of terrorists and drug dealers.
you're an idiot. The myth of the "pusher man" tempting young children to ply his wares is virtually nonexistent in reality. The 1 in a 1000 drug dealers of any kind that do this are gangbangers and despised by all, including 999 of a 1000 users, your kid is more likely to get molested by his priest than pushed to sell or try drugs by anyone othr than their own peers. The only reason a pot dealer doesn't want legalization is because a store with a hundred different kinds of dank, even at higher prices, cuts into his business, even if he has fireweed, because he only has a couple to 3 or 4 kinds on hand. Any dealer that makes it past a month knows that quality and fair deals are the only way to stay in business without eventually getting shot or robbed, or even ratted out. You people with book educations on something you have zero first hnd knowledge of are why prohibition of pot ever happened. The first like you bought into the whole "reefer madness" hype and STARTED prohibition because of it, and have NEVER accepted the science that debunks the whole premise behind it. Nope, kiddies shouldn't smoke pot. NOBODY IS SAYING THEY SHOULD, not even your mythological "pusher". You're right that prohibition feeds illegal activity, but bass ackwards on why anyone ever began it.
