It's called "paying attention".It's not that hard to do,and mandatory when dealing with little ones.

Glad to hear this young child was reunited with his family. This could have turned out bad. But glad to hear the good news.

Might want to think about stopping when you can't keep up with the ones you have.

What happened to a head count or a buddy system?

They should take a lesson from the Duggars with 17. Assign younger kids to older ones. LOL

That is at least 10 kids too many. I agree with SLV they need a buddy system to make sure all of the cattle (kids) are accounted for.

One time, I had my two kids and my sister's 4 kids. I was a new mother and not used to all those kids. We packed up to head to the zoo. My youngest, I had put in her car seat and she went directly to sleep. On the way to the zoo, being that she was so quite, I thought that I had left her at home and totally panicked. The other kids laughed at me, because my child was in the car. But what a scary thought thinking I'd left the baby at home. Thank goodness I didn't.

14 kids. WOW!

how can you forget your child I don't care if you had 20 count them all until you have them all If you have that many children you need to do a head count always.

These must be foster children. If they are, I can see this happening. If they are the parents biological children, then I would find this hard to believe. Either way, I'm sure it wasn't deliberate. It was just an incident with no harm intended.

I understand that with so many little ones, things must be hectic. But, something should be done if they can not handle all the kids. How awful that beautiful young man must have felt, what an ordeal he must have been through - and so scared. How would you feel if your parents "forgot" you? I wonder how many times this has actully happened to such a large family and they just havent been in the spotlight?

A reasonable person would have stopped having babys around 3-4. I hope he has a great paying job to handle 14+ children. I am sure it was not intentional and no one else is perfect. Even management courses that to be effective have teams of 10 but no more than 20 then factor fatigue.
