Oh my gosh! I do, Nancy.... I'm Jerry's daughter. How can someone in Tennessee know about my dad's and grandpa's chili recipe! How funny! I got on this site to read about something else and found "Jerry's A&W Root Beer Stand" in the topics! You made my day!

Hi Julie, I was born & raised in Branch County,(moved at age 16) and Jerry's chili dogs are one of my favorite memories, everytime I was home to visit I would go back and get one. I think Odysseus has a good idea, it would be a great Christmas present for me I know, and I'm sure a lot of others as well, my Aunt worked at that recipe for years but never quite got it right, if you don't want to post it would you send it to me at Juskdy@centurytel.net, It's likely to show up on my New Year's menu. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Have a Super Christmas and a VERY Happy New Year, Nancy

Hi Juli,
I am also from Coldwater and would love to have the recipe for the chili dog at Jerry's A & W.
I grew up in Coldwater and grew up on that chili dog. I can remember when I was in Kindergarden, my mom would stop at this timy hot dog stand and buy a bag of chili dogs. It is one of my memories of my child hood. And have wanted the recipe forever. Ever one should have such a memory.
If you could part with the recipe I would be forever greatful.

Thank you

I was born and raised in Coldwater also. I graduated from CHS. Those chili dogs were wonderful. My other hang outs were Nicks and Harry's for their cherry phosphates and cokes. What wonderful memories I have of my home town. If the receipe is being shared, please include me. bjsnyder6@juno.com

Beverly, I would love to have that chili dog recipe, have been trying for quite a while now to get a response. But nothing so far. I use to hang out at the Alamo drive in and Harry's. Of course that was back in the 60's. But my memories of those chili dogs from Jerry's are my fondest memories.

Julie, I would love it if you could part with the chili dog recipe, and be reassured, if you ever do decide to part with it and send it to me. It will never leave my home. The lovers of that chili dog will be forever grateful. Please.

Mary Lou...I also remember the Alamo; however, it was about the time I returned to Coldwater after I married in 1951. I graduated in 1950, moved to Ft. Wayne, IN for employment and moved back to Coldwater when my husband came home from Korea and was discharged. I have still have family there. My sister is Ruth Neitzert of Neitzert's Greenhouse.

I use to go to Neitzert's, nice greenhouse. I don't have any reason to go to Coldwater anymore. My mom passed away a few years ago, and my sister and husband moved from Coldwater. So I have no reason to go there anymore. If Jerry's was still there I would make a special trip just for those hot dogs. Now if I remember right there is a Pondorosa resturant there, to bad, I liked the hot dogs better.

If you would so kind as to maybe give the recipe to me. If have no intention of ever giving it away or for any other reason than to bring back a time of my childhood that was just fun to be a child, before my world fell apart. If you would be so kind, my email is malohe53@yahoo.com

Love the Root Beer stand. My ex-husband and I would go their all the time. I love their pretzels with cheese.
I sure wouldn't be proud of being part of the Neitzert family their all a bunch of criminals. And you ask me how I know, my cousin WAS married to one of them and he went to prison for drugs.
