Meth-lab blast kills Metcalfe man, police say

EDMONTON, Ky. -- A Metcalfe County man died of injuries suffered when a suspected methamphetamine lab exploded in his home, police said.

I thank they should leave Melissa alone she,s lost enough. Why should she loose the rest of her life.Just think she would be losing her husband& her children .Haven,they lost enough.

She and her husband made a decison to have a meth lab in their home. A decision that not only was extremely dangerous to her children...but to her neighbors as well!(Not to mention the lollyheads that are out there on meth being a danger to everyone!)

Why should she be left alone? Her children will not be left alone with the knowledge she put drugs before them. Her parents won't be left alone because she put drugs before them. The area she lived in won't be left alone because she put drugs before them.
Maybe while she spends time being reminded of her loss...she can contribute some good back to "Remind" others of her loss and their probable loss should they get involved with this terrible drug and the repurcussions to all!

I have no sympathy for someone that places their children in harms way for the selfish reason of making drugs for self and/or profit. She needs to be reminded everyday!

Her children did not get hurt. Although it was a Very stupid mistake, I KNOW FOR A FACT she would never do that again. Since then she WENT COMPLETLY CLEAN!!!!!!! Well after reading some of these comments, i am confused, I happen to know this woman well. She is a great person, whom might have made a mistake or so, omg forgive her, and here we are thinking that she might NOT be human. She however, was not involved with the accident herself. I am sure that she had an idea it was going on, but this was from a man that she thought dearly of, although i will agree that is no excuse, still. In my opinion, She is a wonderful person, who has lost more then one should, no matter the situation. She has turned her life over, and is trying to make a new start, and it is people, like some of you that will make that harder then it should be for her. Like a wise person once said, Everything is all good to talk about and put down, until it is your hidden secrets become exposed. When this happens to you who left nasty comments, we will see how you might veiw the situation then.

I do know this woman well. She is a nice woman and has worked hard for what shes got. The man she has lost has a name it Doug. He was a great father with a big heart. Yes we make mistakes and we all have to pay for them, but remember we aren't here to judge. There will be a judgment day that she will have to answer to. I do agree that there should have been some punishment for her but to lost her children and her life to that not right. I do believe she knew it was going on in her house but to danger her children that I don't think they thought about that. Just like alot of us don't when we put our children on the bus for school or in a car with no seat belt or just everyday life. I know that is different, but accidents happen, just thank GOD it wasn't worst. Also I do think Edmonton paid their respect and treated Melissa good as far as friends of her. She doesn't appreciate that though because every time you hear from her it what Edmonton has done to her. Well guess what Edmonton didn't do anything to you, you all did it to yourself. Just remember their is alot of people in this town call EDMONTON here that think alot of her if she would just get off your high living horse and let them. I hope things turn out for the best. Well sense my last message, I did a little digging, I learned that she was a manager of a convenience store in the town she lived in, A large amount of over the counter medication for colds and related illnesses were ordered, but maybe weren't sold????. This is the same material used in making "METH".She was the main supplier of the material used to make this stuff. She also tried to depose of the evidence of the LAB in her house after the explosion, this is what the Police were looking for off the side of 496. This is called "tampering with evidence". Any charges here??? I am led to believe she was the main "cook and bottle washer". And yet she said she didn't know what was going on in her house. I can't believe she got away with this. Has anyone of her "friends" have any concern for the lives of the people, and Kids she has harmed by selling this poison. The store she worked was a short distance from the local schools. I understand she was also the main salesperson.

Fortunate enought for her, her parents weren't in the house at the time, so they didn't lose their assets as she did. They my friends bought her way through the justice system, simple as that. You are absolutely right that drugs have invaded every section of this country.

Meth making is lethal. Have you searched on line the way to make it? I was shocked that it was so easy to find.

I have no sympathy for people who manufacture this deadly poison. That young woman is lucky to have come out of this with her life.

Making meth in the house can KILL her children. Its made with kerosene and people put this stuff in their bodies!

Yet; I will keep these people in my prayers so that they will never again get involved with making meth and doing drugs.

Are you saying this all is just a rumor????? I believe the more that is EXPOSED about this CRIME the more we will be able to stop the next one. I believe every bit of information should be made public so we will know who the players are, and teach our children how to avoid these stupid people. I believe every one involved in this crime ,including her so called FRIENDS who knew about the CRIME are just as guilty, and shoud be exposed. And if you don"t like it, to bad, I'm going to keep on digging till I get them all.
