It is very disturbing to note that plagiarers are those who are well-established and are charged with to educate the new generation. It is also very discomforting that the young scholar was fired, whereas Profs. Saeed Arayne and Najma Sultan, who benefitted the most are only temporarily suspended and will retire with full pension within months.
A similar case was reported from Quaid-e-Azam Univerisity. Again, a well-established and well-respected(???)professor Dr. Iqbal Cheema published the work of his M.Phil student under his name only. I am told that these are a very small examples of what is happening in the research communities in Pakistan. A sad day The question one has to ask: Do Pakistani profs have no moral? |
