I hope this guy pulls through OK, this time of year is bad for bikers. Its like when the first snow falls in the early winter, idiots all over the northeast forget how to drive in it. People in cars cab barely watch out for other cars, much less motorcyclists and pedestrians. It is way to damn easy to get a drivers liscence in this state. Moron! I hope the next time you pull into oncoming traffic its a garbage truck or a fockin tractor trailer.

AS I SEE IT --- Mike "Mainer Mike" Brown.

When are they ever going to ban motorcycles? It's easy for a car to hit them because they're hard to see. And then you have those bikers who don't wear helmets, even though it's the law in every state.

The article doesn't say if he was wearing one or not.I agree these motorcycle people should certainly be wearing one,but to outlaw them as this other poster said is ridiculous.

mike does have somewhat of a point! but u people only see it ur way. what about the bikers who thinks its cool to fly up and down the road at such highspeeds? i get plenty of them by my house. sorry but if a family member of mine or my dog gets hit bc they wanna go 120mph past my house at all hrs of the day then yes in someways it tech is the bikers fault. but in all other aspects a bike is a smaller vehicle and is sometimes hard to spot in ur mirrors as u kno a car or truck is sometimes hard to spot as well. there is such a thing called blind spots while driving. now i love motorcycles but i dont care for the people who drive them outta control bc they are only asking 4 trouble and injuries. but in the long run hopefully the guy makes out ok especially if its deff not his fault

You make a valid point and yes, there are MANY bikers who drive like morons.
But Mike wants to outlaw them for Godssakes! This isn't China, give us a break. Some people drive like a-ssholes in a truck too, shall we ban them as well?Let's use our heads here.

The increase in motorcycles is due to this damn state and price of gas. Some ppl do not have a choice to go to a cheaper vehicle to run.

If a motorcyclist crashes due to his stupidity and stunts that is his problem. However, we all need to drive defensively. Be aware of all that is around us not just the bikes.

Try this little test. http://www.youtube.com/watch...
Also please stop talking and texting on your cells while driving. The person you kill may be me. Yes their are some motorcyclists who ride reckless. However their are far more reckless car drivers out there. I ride very conservatively and still have been cut off numerous times by inattentive drivers. They always say say the same thing. " I didn't see you." Try opening your eyes. Take your time and really LOOK before you pull out, change lanes, ect... I don't know all the details of this crash, but the most common motorcycle-car crashes are car turning left in front of motorcycle. We are right there in front of you all you have to do is take an extra couple of seconds out of your busy lives to save ours.

Then you probably shouldn't be driving at all. I didn't say ONLY look for motorcycles. However if it's just too difficult for you to focus on all traffic around you be it cars, bikes, pedestrians, or whatever you probably should just stay home.

A car turned left in front of a moving MC. This MC driver was not a fault. He is in grave condition. He is someone's son, husband, brother, father, cousin, friend or all the above. He will be missed by a lot of people. Consentrate on the issues at hand...people driving cars need to be more watchful.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
