Does anyone know exactly what happened? What was the motive? Was John F. Dalton guilty or innocent? He died of throat cancer before the trial.

I've heard many conflicting stories about this triple homicide. Can anyone set the record straight?

please don't do your research on this thread, there are other places, all you will get here is rumors, no facts, and bringing up heartaches

The lady killed the children and then the guy came home and she attacked him with scissors. He defended himself and was legally innocent. That's what I heard.

You can go to the Holly House. Sarah Nave can tell you probably more than anyone. The court records are public information and there are two stories, you will have to decide for yourself. You could also get a lot of information on domestic violence at the Holly House as it is the hear quarters for Coffeyville Crisis Resource Center. There are several women there who can help you.

Highly,

I have never had a problem with anything you have posted. As a matter of fact I think you are a very intellegent man and I have learned from you. However, think this was rude and could have been handled much differently and without the rudeness.

Thanks for the tip, Susie. Have a great day.

Domestic violence is always unacceptable. Help is just a phone call away.

Actually I believe that Mr. Hansen's reply to Hilee was what was rude. Hilee was making it clear it is a horrible tragedy and very "touchy" subject. Mr. Hansen says he's doing "research" on domestic violence. Do you really think that Topix is the place to do actual factual "research" on anything? If he is researching then surely he must be aware that there are several other means in which to get the facts. Everyone knows that on Topix you will get rumors, gossip, just cruel remarks for fun, personal opinion and lies. But facts of something like that, especially in a small town, is not something you'll likely find on a public forum. Hilee was obvious in his post that it's a "touchy" subject not to be discussed on Topix. Mr. Hansen came back with a rude response to someone after he had to know that it is obviously "touchy" for some people. He could have just said something like "I'm sorry if it upsets you and others, I know it must have been a tragedy for the small town of Coffeyville. My research is to find facts and not to start a subject on a public forum that will be likely to stir some strong emotions in people." He could have and should have shown more sympathy for those it hurts to this day.
I doubt that while Mr. Hansen is on the computer, if he was to type in Holly House, that Topix or Coffeyville Forum showed up in the list of informational sites or links.

That's ok Susie...I intended it to be to the point...Not rude..To the point..I don't think it is something that we should have on here..Look at the post just before my last post..It will get worse. I do not intend to discuss the case in which this thread is dedicated and will not...I sent feedback hoping to have it deleted. You gave some very good advice to Hansen..Some COMMON SENSE advice that he should have had the sense to try first.

Sometimes I am rude..On those times it is usually intentional, sometimes not, but usually is... The times that it is, I do it for a reason. You are a very nice person and you are part of very good agency that performs a very important role.

Thank you for your service and don't worry about any critisism of me you may have..I appreciate it and try to take it into consideration... This time uuuhhhh, well, you know. Guilty as charged......... Might of been handled differently, but believe it not, I backspaced a whole paragragh....What I erased was rude. I thought I was being polite in what I left.

Ok..I'm calm.. Let me explain something here..

Brook is a family member, extended family, family none the less..We will and are doing everything we can to see that justice is served in her case. Like I said earlier, 9-11 is like Pearl Harbor.. Never forget..some took the thread and turned it political..That is the chance you take in any thread.

You on the other hand, made light and posted nothing but something (you claim) you heard. I think you were trying to be clever in your own sick way.

The case this thread is dedicated to can be researched anywhere besides on here, where people will and do make stupid and insenstitive remarks..You being a case in point. I'm sorry you cannot see the difference. Sorry for you.
