No. Several years ago there was a serious attempt to put in a casino in the Caney and Sedan area, with the property to extend into Osage County, Oklahoma. But the holier-than-thou do-gooders (including the little Taylor newspaper) got up in an uproar and helped to kill those job possiblities.

Your right about the Caney and Sedan area, and this was the Osage tribe, but they could not get the support of the State of Kansas.. One big reason was that they have knwo land they could place into trust land. Now whats different now, is the Cherokee tribe along with a few other tribes made a settlement with the United States over the Arkansas river bed, and they can place land in trust over the deal they made instead of only taking just money. Now this is how the Cherokee tribe as long as in their service area can buy land and turn around and do what they want. With that said we won't see something being build in Kansas, but Cherokee Nation boarders from Caney to Baxter Springs. And not any do-gooders can stop this. We heard a chicken plant may be coming just South of Caney, nw that could bring jobs.

Do we realy need a casino on every corner? They are all around us several within 60 miles and everyone is getting excited about one in Southtown so you wont have to drive as far to give the indians your money? Hell just mail it to them and avoid wasting the gas money. I do go to the casinos but everytime you turn around a new one is being built. And they are built with your $$$$.

Settle down Ernie, not going to be one at South Coffeyville, but look for one around Copan or Dewey, Oklahoma.... No turst land in this area.
One casino was build South of Bartlesville, and most will be around the bigger cities anyway. rnie just use that gas to drive to them.

What else is built with your $$$$? Oh yeah, pretty much everything. Get fat, skinny, drunk, broke, rich, high, saved, healthy, loved, hated, etc....spend your money where you please. Why does it matter what someone else does with their HARD EARNED cash? Make your own choices, I'll make mine....#merica
