When it comes to gimmicks and foolishness, the modern church
is sure to find it and apply it on a corporate basis. The newest fad is
addressing the weight problem of the church! Meanwhile, God said we
do have a “wait” problem. We are to wait upon Him. There’s nothing
wrong with taking care of our bodies and trying our best to achieve a
normal weight and reasonable modicum of physical fitness. However,
when it becomes the preoccupation of Believers to be distracted with
weight watching instead of watching and waiting for a Move of God,
you have the ingredients for deception.
Rick Warren and his “Saddleback” experiment are at it again. This
time though he has teamed up with media celebrity and New Age doctor,

Mehmet Oz and other mystics to assist his followers in changing
their bodies, and minds! Warren’s “Daniel Plan” is a 52 week program
that tracks your progress and enables you to have coaching from these
worldly and Satanic instructors as part of his new ten year program to
expand his ministry,“Decade of Destiny.” The plan includes an element
of personal growth meant to equip parishioners to succeed in seven
areas: spiritual, physical, financial, relational, vocational, emotional,
and mental.
LOSS OF THE TRUTH!

Warren is using his weight-loss program as a seeker sensitive
evangelical outreach approach.“This is God’s prescription for your
health,” he said.“This is the greatest opportunity for you to introduce
friends to Saddleback Church through a non-threatening event.” Hmm,
does the Gospel threaten people or bring them hope? It seems the
only real loss to any of Rick Warren’s demonic programs in the past,
and especially now, have been the loss of the truth.
BAIT!
Warren’s deception operates in this vein, he doesn’t mention
the teachings and beliefs of the doctors he’s promoting on his
ministry websites. However, he is strongly endorsing them and,
thereby, recommending their literature. Can we separate their
teachings and belief’s from their methodology used and applied for
weight-loss and well-being? No. However, Warren and his Peter
Druckerish, Leadership Network organizational influence embrace
a pragmatic approach to all their experiments with the church; the
end justifies the means. Warren obviously does not believe the
Gospel and preaching of Jesus Christ and the Finished Work of the
Cross as the solution to all of man’s needs, but rather fellowship
with the world and popularity are the “worms” Warren uses to
bait his catch. Beware reader.
MYSTICAL MEDITATION?
Dr. Mehmet Oz on his website says,“You have to meditate to lose
weight.” The type of meditation he prescribes is Transcendental Meditation.
Remember, it was Warren who promoted labyrinth meditation
in the past. He knows no boundaries when separating meditating on
God’s Word and mystical meditation with yoga, as promoted by these
New Age doctors. We are also told by Dr. Mark Hyman, that we need
to live in “community” and the “individuals” will not survive in our
future world of “group living.” Does Warren have a greater agenda
than he’s telling his participants? Warren is a member of the Council
on Foreign Relations, CFR, and has been a guest speaker at the World
Economic Forum, where he volunteered “the church” as the distribution
mechanism to eradicate world poverty. What is Warren getting
you in shape for? He wants you in shape so you may become a “better
servant.” There’s no truth at Saddleback and “the lie” is spreading by
unsuspecting followers of Rick Warren. What constitutes a church is
what is preached behind the Pulpit.“The lie” I refer to is Saddleback
is promoted as a Christian church when it is sadly a pagan cult.
IMAGE OF CHRIST
The real shape of someone is God shaping and molding Believers
to be conformed into the Image of Jesus Christ. This Work is done by
the Power of the Holy Spirit as we apply Faith in what Christ has done
for us at the Cross. The Holy Spirit Works within the confines of the
Cross, Romans, Chapter 8, Verse 2, and only He is able to prepare us
for Service and sanctify us for Godly living (Eph. 2:8-10).
The Assembly of God Church has embraced Rick Warren.........that is the problem

Even the elect will be fooled in the end times. We are to watch and descriminate the word and gimmicks coming from the pulpit.

I pulled up stakes out of AG when they let the deacons be divorced. That is TOTALLY against the Word of God!!! I WILL NOT STAY WITH A CHURCH THAT CHANGES IT'S BELIEF AND PAYS THE PEOPLE TO COME AND WORSHIP, like the one on 8th. They have so many gimmicks that it's a circus any more.

THEY ARE A NEW AGE ORGANIZATION!!!

Give me that old time religion, give me that old time religion, give me that old time religion, that's good enough for me.

I'm with you grumpy. The new age idea comes from "Rick Warren" and it is invading most of the Church today. I might warn you that any religion spoken on here is open to ridicule to the nth degree. Sad but true. Only true Born-again Christians hear and understand the Word of God and the meaning of the "message of the Cross" I have been called assinine to fool to illogical. LOL I wll be watching those judged by God for the persecution. Blessed are those who stand and hold on for the Rapture.

Yeah - this is why you might illicit a little anger.

The "judgement" that will supposedly land on non-believers is eternally burning in a lake of fire. For what? For not believing that a virgin got pregnant and had a baby? This is why you get called illogical. Anticipatory laughing when watching someone get sentenced to eternal burning - well, lots of names could apply here.

Tom, it doesn't have to be that way. No one has to burn, whatsoever. Hell wasn't made for people. It was made for Lucifer and his fallen angels. The only way that anyone will be placed there is because of unbelief. Unbelief is a personal choice. It's like if you believe in Santa, or not. You choose rather you believe that Jesus is God, or even if there is a God. You will be the one putting yourself in Hell, through unbelief, instead of Jesus putting you there. It's all up to you. After that, the rest is easy. ALL OF US ARE ONE BREATH FROM DEATH! That means that before we take the next breath we could be facing Lucifer, or God. WE WILL FACE ONE OF THEM UPON DEATH! The choice is yours.

Hey grumpy. We disagree on whether a person chooses to believe something. If I tell you that the sun is going to explode at 7pm today, you aren't going to be able to choose to believe it. Common sense and logic are going to force you to disbelieve that the sun will explode. It is the same with most non-believers. I do not believe a woman can become pregnant through a supernatural method so I cannot believe in a virgin birth.

I don't know all of the ins and outs of what happened, but I believe. I also don't know everything about electricity, but I believe that it's real.

The Bible talks about how the Holy Spirit will over-shadow Mary. Maybe that was a nice way of saying the obvious. It's just that the Holy Spirit isn't human. If he was human, then she wouldn't be a virgin when someone over-shadows her.

Do you believe in ghosts? How about UFOs? Do you believe in demon possession? Do you believe in Aliens? Do you believe in seances?

As a christian, I believe in ghosts. Jesus told some startled men that he wasn't a ghost, right after he came back from the dead. He said that we wouldn't be able to see ghosts. UFOs? Jesus also said that in the last days, there will be signs and wonders in the sky and on Earth. Demon Possession? Demon possession was common place in his day and he kicked many out of various people. Seances? King Saul went looking and found a woman that set-up a seance for him and called Elijah back from the dead to talk with him.

If you also believe in these things, then you must believe in God, because they are supernatural as well as him.

Ghosts - no. UFO's - possibly, I see the possibility/probability of life on other planets so there could be those advanced enough to create spaceships. Demon possession - no. Aliens - same as UFO's. Seances - I believe they happen but I don't believe they contact the dead.

I don't see that UFO's or Aliens qualify as supernatural.

UFOs and aliens are not from Earth. Aliens are not human. Therefore, they must be supernatural.

Demons, what are they? They're Satan's fallen angels. They do the work for Satan, because he's not like God, omnipresent (everywhere at the same time). Satan is like us, present in one place at any given time.

If you believe in seances, ghosts and likewise, you believe that there is life after death. They are 2 evidences toward that belief. All of this falls back to the belief in God.

Jesus, he is the incarnation of God. He's not the reincarnation, because God wasn't here in human form before. God wanted to come to Earth and live with us for awhile. He made us to fellowship with him and we really haven't done that since Adam.

He wanted to be flesh and blood. How could a spirit become flesh? Only by being born. So, he got this young teenager pregnant and she had his Son. Jesus was half human and half spirit. Being of God's spirit, God was actually in that body and flowing through his veins. He was alive in human form.

Jesus was rejected by the leaders of the day, because they saw something in him that scared them. They saw God. So, they had him killed. They killed the body of Jesus, but not the half of him that was God. Man can't kill God.

Since you can't kill God, God didn't die. Jesus went back to the crowd that had followed him around and gave them some last orders and then went back to heaven to rule the universe again.

I believe in God and Jesus. I also know that there's a Satan and demons.

Note quite. Supernatural is defined as "of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe; especially of or relating to God or a god, demigod, spirit, or devil".

Aliens and their ships would be members of the observable universe. If they exist - it neither proves or disproves the existence of a god.

I believe in things where I see there is sufficient evidence to believe in whether I can understand them or not (wind, electricity, atoms, molecules, gravity, etc.). If I don't see evidence (God, devils, demons, unicorns, Santa Clauses, etc) then I tend to disbelieve in them. It all depends on the evidence.
