Agreed on the meeting some day. I still on occasion do some welding instruction, but only on a one on one basis. Pretty much retired except for some welding inspection jobs now and then. garden and Grandkids pretty much take up all my time any more. wife is off for the summer so the crappy fishing is a high priority also.
At some point in time I intend to attend one of the Navy re-unions in pensacola fla and when I do I will come by your place to meet on the way there or back. Take care and have a good day brother.

i did a nice welding job for a friend yeasterday. i gouged of a tounge on a trailer and welded a new one on for him. it's been awhile since i struck an arc.

that is one of the cool things about being a welder. doing favor projects for friends is how we play. Nothing like doing things for others and having fun at the same time.

yeah, it was fun. i miss welding. i've been in this rock truck for about a year now and i hate it.
i'm going to try and get back into the welding/repair side of this job. there has been a new superintendent hired and he's a friend of mine.

they are going to open a cabelas in my home state of WV. it's only 40 minutes from me. it's set to open in next month.

Good to be back and see you again also old chum. You will enjoy the cabela's. There is one close to where my son lives in Kansas city and the wife and I look forward to going there and checking out the fishing gear when ever we go to see our son. Been pretty busy so have not been on here much of late. coaching of the softball is over for this year so now have a little more time for myself. ha ha. Hope your not getting this heat wave we have been dealing with there in your neck of the woods. Feels like a blast furnace when we go outside. Currently watering the garden every other day but may have to go daily if this keeps up. chinese yard long beans going crazy growing since they do well in the heat.Also the Armenian cucumbers coming on strong. Picked one yesterday measured over two feet long. Wife staying too busy canning so if the food prices go up like the media is saying we may do well. been picking the green okra for two weeks now. The red okra has not started putting on yet but I planted it a month later. Soon as I clear the corn shucks out I will replant the corn rows with turnips for this fall. Staying pretty busy with the garden but one relief is not having to mow as much. I am just about to wear the street out in front of my house out from making so many trips to my neighbors houses sharing from my garden. I always get a smile when I show up at thier front door. does a body good to share.
going to my family reunion in lawrence kansas tomorrow so will have a meal and visit with what remains of the family. Always a good time. i'm just working but not 7 days a week. still in a rock truck but hoping for a welding position.
i've been in a daze for the last few days, my best friend died. it was totaly unexpected. he was only 47. we have hunted together for over 20 years. even though he lived 100 miles away, we kept in touch and fished and hunted when ever we could get the chance. i'm at a loss as what is to come.
may i ask, what is "HAGD"?
well, it's 3:30am, in from work and it bed time, just checking in to see what was going on.

Sorry to hear your old friend passed away old chum. Some times that is a rather heavy load to carry. I have lost two best friends so far in my life time and do not relish the thought of losing any more.
I hope you do get that welding postion you are wanting and soon. A person always does best when doing what they love doing. and as a plus, welding beats working for a living.
