I just heard today that the chairman of the fundraising committee for the Tom Kill benefit decided to help herself to some of the funds that should have been put towards his medical bills/expenses and put them towards her own wants and needs All i can say is how disappointed i am in that person. To steal is wrong but to steal from someone that is in the fight of their life with a terminal illness is completely horrible. I am not sure how you live with yourself. And if she didn't do this, please tell me why she wouldn't offer to clear your name instead of buring her head and acting as if nothing is happening.

Angie Palmer/Keith or whatever her name is now? She's always been a thief. She was charged with embezzlement when she worked at the funeral home in Caney, but somehow managed to get herself out of that one.
Isn't she supposedly a good friend of Angie and Tom?? how can a good friend do something like that especially in a time like this!!!!!

If I were the Kill's, I'd press charges against her. And may God have mercy on her soul.

I'd heard years ago about her when she supposedly ran the funeral home in Caney. Yes I wondered about her being in charge of the benefit and ect... but how can she live with knowing the reason why this benefit was held and then to take it upon herself to keep part of the proceeds. The Kills will need every dime they can get ahold in this circumstance, but as the old saying goes, "What goes around, comes around." Someday she will be in need and no one will be willing to help her out.

Whoa, someone is misinformed.

The benefit was on the 21st of August.

Tom had 3 days of chemo, August 24-26th, and she was there for every one of them. Angie took the hunting vacation a couple of weeks later, leaving on the 5th of September, a week of Tom not having to go through chemo.

And no, the money didn't go towards her vacation. You don't even know what it was for, and who it was for, do you?

HS football games, LeClere park, car shows, to sitting with him at home on the weekends and watching football...Angie and Tom have been connected at the hip.

You suggest to everyone on here that they shouldn't post things that they can't prove as facts. Maybe you should do your best not to lie when you make your posts. Everything you said, you can go read the opposite, since you stalk her Facebook. I'm a close friend of the family, and I didn't need her Facebook account to prove you wrong, although the dates are all right there in her timeline.

Do refrain from doing this again.

You people need to drop this whole subject. Trashing someone while they are going through the worst trauma of their lives is just reprehensible. There are personal reasons for every action that you know nothing about. Do not presume to judge people when you do not know what is in their hearts. They do not need to be reading on the internet some stranger's ignorant and uninformed opinions.

I have noticed that,Nutty, reading some of the morally low-class threads on this forum.
It is quite informative that Bear Hunter is quite ready to urge people to drop the gossip about an alleged thief, then turns around in the same post and makes accusations about a family going through something so tragic. I am not their friend and do not know anything more than that they are a very tight-knit family, and neither of them would do something without the full support of the other. That's all people need to know.

I know for a fact that bear trip was part of her job with honey creek outdoors and she didn't want to go. However that's really irrelevant to the original topic. Someone stole money out of the cancer fund. That fund is Holy ground for the kills to do with as they please. Pay light bills, eat nachos, buy the kids shoes. Whatever. If someone other than the Kills used that money - that's stealing. And that person is very lucky that 1000's of Angie's Facebook fans aren't local. Social justice in a hunting community is pretty rough. Prosecute, Angie or me, Lisa and some others will come help.

I think this has all got complete blown out of hand. True if this person did steal money from the benefit account it is completely wrong and immoral. That person will have to answer to God, the ultimate judge and jury. All i can say is that Tom and Angie are very dear, kind and good hearted people that were there for me during my darkest hours. Is it not enough that they individually, and as a family, are in the fight of their life and all this negativity and unnecessary gossip is a complete waste of time and energy. There only focus should have to be healing and fighting this horrible disease not defending actions and accusations. This town is the worst on gossip and people sticking their nose into business that has nothing to do with them and taking it upon them self to share information they "think" they know. I know this first hand and have been on the receiving end of such nonsense myself. I was under a microscope every time I stepped out in this town. I saw the whispers and finger pointing, people telling my friends I should be at home mourning the loss of my husband, etc......All i can say is until you have walked a day in someone elses shoes you have know idea how it feels and you should keep you opinion to yourself. These are good people and I am glad to call them my friends.

And in Angie's defense.....that bear hunt was planned and on the calendar looonnnngggg before Tom was EVER diagnosed with cancer. He is the one that insisted her to go. She was very torn and didn't want to leave. So for those of you that "think you know" how it really is. YOUR WRONG! Please mind your own business.

Grief is expressed in many ways.

When a family is experiencing something like this, it is horrible for others to judge each member for their actions.

When my Grandmother was diagnosed with lung cancer, my sister had a trip out of the country planned. She was going to cancel it but Grandma told her she HAD to go, that she wanted her to go to the country our ancestors come from.

To outsiders, it may have seemed "cold-hearted" for her to go, but Grandma didn't want her illness to change good things we had going on.

There are people who are able to sit by a sick family member days on end and there are those who can't bear it.

It doesn't mean either person loves the sick one any more or less, it simply means that some are better at coping with a care-giving role than others.

My mom was by my side every free moment when I had my car wreck. My dad just couldn't bear to see me so sick and weak. They both love me immensely, and wanted me to get better. Dad just wasn't able to sit with me like Mom was.
Families do what they have to do to stay sane and healthy so they can be strong for the sik person. If the care-giver uses up all of their personal reserves and resources, they are no good for the person they are giving care to.

The thief, however, should be ashamed of herself, and I can't believe someone would be so lacking in character.

We don't even know if that is true. That could be a lie too. I'll wait for the police report to come out or for the people actually in the know to post facts.

To whomever it may concern. Angie Kill is my Staff coordinator and an Account Representative for Honey Creek Outdoors. The bear hunt in question as stated previously was planned many months in advance along with other hunts and business trips to come. Upon Tom's diagnoses, obviously she and the whole family was devastated and their lives and future plans were stolen from this disease. They are trying to get back to some sort of normal and in order to do that, they are trying to pick up where they were stopped in their tracks. Tom not only encouraged Angie to go on the bear hunt but became upset that she wasn't going to go.

As far as the allegations involving the Chairperson on the Tom Kill Fundraiser, I was lead of the fundraiser in the Hunting Community. I am to understand there is an investigation being held and the truth will prevail. Until then, I ask that Tom, Angie and the girls has the Coffeyville communities support in helping them with this life threatening disease by showing your love and kindness during this time of need and understanding.
And yes Shelly, you are very correct that we are a very tight community and when one of "ours" is under the gun, be rest assured, you will being dealing with "us".
