You didn't even read the article
it says:
"The new law will disproportionately affect – and disenfranchise – eligible minority and poor voters in Wichita"
it says:
"25 percent of African-Americans, 16 percent of Hispanics and 15 percent of those who are low-income lack a government-issued ID"
it says:
"A “free” ID comes at the cost of transportation, child care or lost wages, that ID is not free."
This is a dirty trick by Koch-owned Brownback and his Jesus cult to stop poor Americans from voting.
If you are so poor you never leave your house how are you able to exist????? You talk of lost wages, transportation, child care??? You need an ID for just about every part of your life. Theese leaches need to get an ID. If they getting of an ID will cause such a strain on them to get it. How the hell can they afford to make it to the voting booth? Problem solved- stay home come election day unless you have an ID.

How is it stopping anyone but illegals from voting? Why is it messed up to make someone have a photo id to vote for the president when you have to have one in order to even be in an event where he is speaking, everyone had to have one to get in the DNC, you have to have one to get in OUR WHite House, and yet you think you shouldn't have to have one to vote for the president? How does that make sense? Our elections have to be as safe and fair as possible so that people can trust in the process. How is it safe or fair if anyone can vote in them even if you are not an American? One illegal vote is one too many in our elections for the president of the United States of America.
Didn't this happen in our last President election? I believe so

Are you so stupid you can not go get a picture ID? Aren't ALL people over the age of 18 supposed to have a legal ID whether it's a State Issued Identification Card or a Drivers License? No dirty scheme at all, just protecting the validity of the voting process.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia announced Thursday that it had arrested the man who allegedly tossed completed voter registration forms in a dumpster.

Police on Thursday arrested 31-year-old Colin Small, who was a voter registration supervisor employed by Pinpoint, an independent firm contracted by the Republican Party of Virginia.

Not a libtard, Not a repugnicant. Not sure what either of those are. I was not aware that you had to show an ID to see Kobach. He is the only one I see attacking voter ID laws. He is the idiot your talking about right? Maybe you need to explain Wally. This can be viewed two ways.

We need voting reform.

At the debate between Harbaugh & Kelly, there were two women who said that they get absentee ballots for their deceased husbands, one basically said that she used this ballot to vote twice before Harbaugh shut her down and said he didn't want to hear it. One of the husbands had been dead for about 10 years.

What actually amazes me about that is that there were only about 20 or so people there and if 2 were so open about this, that is atleast 10%.

Voter fraud doesn't happen, now does it?

Although a Pennsylvania judge ruled that the state cannot require voters to show photo ID, many of the 80-somethings who volunteer for poll worker duty are untrained and are probably not aware of the judge's ruling. They may ask voters for ID and turn away any that don't have it, even though legally they can't do this. Furthermore, buses are driving around the state with a big ad saying "SHOW IT," telling voters to bring ID. The ads were placed before the judge's ruling. To top that off, PECO, the Philadelphia power company sent a notice with its October bills telling people to bring photo ID. While this was well meant at the time, people who don't have ID may simply not bother to vote, thinking they need it. So although the voter ID law was reversed in court, it may still have the intended effect--keeping low-information and low-income voters from the polls.

I am curious on facts about felons voting.
I read that once they have completed all of their probation, and other required obligations, that they are allowed to vote again in the state of Kansas.
Can anyone tell me if this is true?

Missouri Democrats are worried — about Kansas.

They fear messages bleeding over the border will scare some of their voters away from the polls. In particular, they’re nervous about a highly visible advertising campaign telling Kansans they’ll need a picture ID to cast their ballots this year.

Pictures aren’t required to vote in Missouri, in part because Gov. Jay Nixon vetoed a photo ID law last year.

But Missouri Democratic officials fear many voters, particularly the elderly and poor without photo ID, may see the Kansas-based ads and misunderstand the rules. So they’re issuing press releases and calling news conferences to remind Missouri voters they don’t need a photo ID.

VOTER ID LAWS IN KANSAS AND MISSOURI

Acceptable voter ID in Kansas: Any document issued by a city, county, state or federal government agency that includes the first and last name and a photo of the voter. Examples: Driver’s license, non-driver ID card, student ID card from public high school or any college; city library card; city-issued pool pass; a U.S. passport; a concealed-carry license.

Voters over age 65 can use an expired photo ID. Voters who express religious opposition to the photo requirement are exempt. You can obtain a non-driver ID document at Kansas DMV offices Tuesday (most are closed on Monday). You must provide proof of identity and proof of residence.

Acceptable voter ID in Missouri: A driver’s license, an election board-issued voter ID card, a passport, ID from a Missouri-based institution of higher education, a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or government document with name and address of the voter. A picture of the voter is not required.

The only reason people would not want to require an ID is so that fraud could be used. Who today goes through life without some form of ID?

If the state requires an ID to vote then they must supply it free of charge and deliver them to all that want them. Otherwise it is no more than another poll tax to suppress who votes. Happy Jim Crow days.
