Do you take a stance on this subject? For, against or neutral? Here's a chance to speak your mind...

Obama was only following the Bible. In there it says to treat others the way you would want to be treated.

In general, I'm happy we have a President with enough balls to take a risky, potentially politically damaging position to do what is right.

If marriage is so sacred, then why don't the GOP pass a law that makes DIVORCE ILLEGAL? That would be hilarious.

I'd say heterosexuals have done a pretty good job of throwing marriage under the bus. Divorce rate is 50%. Give gays a shot at it, they can't do much worse than we have.

"Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" is an inalienable right according to the Founding Fathers. If you don't want Gay Marriage...then don't marry a Gay. I say more power to them. What transpires between two consenting adults in the privacy of their own bedroom should not affect anyone in the least. If two people want to commit to each other for life...Let them! God bless them for it! I still can't believe Republicans are against this what with all the gay sex scandals they've had in the recent past.

How would "Jane and Jill" or "Frank and Fred" being able to marry impede you in any way? You are not accommodating them in any way. You yourself have nothing to do with it. If "marriage" were a "sacred" act or union, why can two people go file for a license and get hitched at the courthouse? Weddings are generally ceremonies performed at churches by people of different theological backgrounds. But a wedding does not a marriage make. Marriage is a piece of paper given to applicants at a judicial center legally binding them to one another, nothing more. I am a Christian, I believe in the BIBLE, and I do not agree with homosexuality on a moral level. But I paid attention in church. And the BIBLE I grew up on told me the only one that can judge another person is the LORD GOD. So, unless anyone else thinks they are more capable than GOD at administering and passing any judgement on another person, I can't help but wonder if you (or like minded individuals) may get the first seats on the Hell bus. I don't know. But follow all of it or follow none of it. We Christian's have no authority to pick through any gospel and say yes to some ideas and no to others. I say live and let live, and let the big man do his job and decide the rest.

Rush Limbaugh has started crying that Obama has declared war on marriage!

Limbaugh's first, second, and third wives could not be reached for comment.

Obama knows that his "personal feelings" does not make policy and he won't do anything more for gays and lesbians than he has done in almost 4 years. He thinks they will fall for this and it turn to votes, for him. He can feel all day long, but it's his ACTIONS that are wanted from him on this issue. When he does something about it that will be when it becomes votes. Who cares how the hell he feels? He "feels" like doing whatever he has too for votes without actually doing anything.

Obama's numbers were low so to get some votes he supports gay marriages and well he is not going to push anything on it, it is just for the votes. Fact: in 08 he said a marriage should be between a man and a woman, now we are coming up on a election and he was getting scared over his numbers he now is a switch hitter. Pathetic move if you ask me. It is just more to show how shady he is as a president.

Did y'all see the piece in the Washington Post? Romney assaulted a gay kid and cut off all his bleached hair in 1965.

"Mitt Romney returned from a three-week spring break in 1965 to resume his studies as a high school senior at the prestigious Cranbrook School. Back on the handsome campus, studded with Tudor brick buildings and manicured fields, he spotted something he thought did not belong at a school where the boys wore ties and carried briefcases. John Lauber, a soft-spoken new student one year behind Romney, was perpetually teased for his nonconformity and presumed homosexuality. Now he was walking around the all-boys school with bleached-blond hair that draped over one eye, and Romney wasnít having it.

ďHe canít look like that. Thatís wrong. Just look at him!Ē an incensed Romney told Matthew Friedemann, his close friend in the Stevens Hall dorm, according to Friedemannís recollection. Mitt, the teenaged son of Michigan Gov. George Romney, kept complaining about Lauberís look, Friedemann recalled.

A few days later, Friedemann entered Stevens Hall off the schoolís collegiate quad to find Romney marching out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Lauberís hair. Friedemann followed them to a nearby room where they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors."

Now that is just about the most desperate post I've seen in some time on all of Topix. You seriously are so desperate you have to go back to 1965 to find something to trash Romney on.

Ok, now where are all those school records from Obama, what and where was he in 65? For that matter, where's the original freakin birth certificate? Oh, and please, do you want to discuss the "made up girlfriend" Obama says he had a long time ago? Obama not only made up a girlfriend but wrote a book and included in it the diary he wrote for his imaginary girlfriend.

No, the above is what you said. That you felt YOU shouldn't have to accommodate gays. That you felt they were trying to take something away from YOU personally. You can't spin what you've already stated. Come on now......
