So the 1st clue for the lost loot came out today & someone found it within 10 minutes of the clue being announced. Sounds rigged to me! Sure sounds like American Family Insurance is giving someone a helpful hand. What a waste of $5.
Just goes to prove the whole Dalton Defender Days celebration is stupid. I say lets show the Daltons shooting up the place & winning for once. Get out of the same dull routine & liven it up. Do something that makes people want to go see the dang thing instead of it being the same boring thing year after year after year.

So what are you doing to help out this weekend down town? Probably nothing but b%t#h about it. I'm sure the ones that spend lots of hours getting "Dalton Days" going would love your help.

Someone was at the right place, at the right time. You had the same chance that everyone else had. Are you planning on going on Friday to the chili cook off and the battle of the bands? How about are you going to watch couples get married? The car show, the kids games? You can't complain about a small portion of the whole festivle and not support the whole festival by attending.

Dear Bob Dalton,
Missed you at the practices this year, while everyone else donated their time to help re-enact Coffeyville's history. We didn't write history, because if we had, no precious lives would have been lost protecting Coffeyville. Furthermore, your statement that it was rigged it totally incorrect. The ladies at American Family Insurance didn't even know where the loot was hidden. Only the two people that hid it knew and they do not work at American Family Insurance. Everyone that bought a button had the same chance as the person who found it and to correct your wrong information, it wasn't found until late Monday afternoon. This is suppose to be a fun thing but folks like you who were not lucky enough to win always want to mess is up for everyone else. We work very hard to make this festival the best we can. If you have ideas that you think would make it better, we would be glad to have you volunteer your time to help. If you feel that honoring people that gave their lives defending their home is bad, if you have something bad happen in your life, you will want to abstain from dialing 911.

That is correct, I found the "Lost Loot". The poster hasn't got a clue because I found it at 4:00 that afternoon on top of a support pillar of the picnic shelter in Pfister park. The clue was released that morning on facebook. This was also the third time it was found on the first day.
What allowed me to find it was some deductive reasoning, a little intuition and a dash of luck. I was not tipped off by anyone other than my wife. Together we figured a list of probable locations based on the clue and went from there. I found it at the second location I looked.
I realize this forum has a funky tone sometimes and
I don't normally respond to such crap, and I sure don't owe anyone an explanation; but I don't like the people at the American Family insurance office being called dishonest. They ran a clean contest. Lisa and I had fun with it and look forward to next year.

It's funny that people were posting about you finding it well before 4:00 p.m. that day. Just saying.
