What does everyone think of the lube center located at 1115 w 11th.
I tried it out today, and I'm not impressed at all. This is for all you women out there. I payed for full service $45.90 to be excact(I had to pay $4.00 extra for the castrol). They did not check anything, checked off that everything was ok. The tires were low when I took the car in and the was was the same when I got home. They checked off the wipers were ok and they were both ripped. They said my anti-freeze was ok and it was low. They said they added wiper fluid and it was low. Everything was as it was when I took it in to be full serviced. Watch and make sure you get what you pay for. My husband says to turn them in to the better business bureau. I think I agree, they are crooks. What do you think of them

Do you think they will pay me mileage for the job I paid them to do and, they should have done in the first place. I live in Independence.

I think they must be idiots. They missed a chance to sell you some items you needed.
Most places have a "house brand" of oil or one that advertised specials include. Usually the "high end" oils will cost a bit more.
Now, for not topping off your fluid levels that should have been included in your "service", they either accidentally missed the entire step or are inept.
Drive back to the center and explain what happened calmly. Pay close attention to the response. Your answer will likely be exposed in their reply.
If their reply is started with an apology and includes a offer to immediately remedy the problem,
maybe they deserve a second chance. ANYTHING LESS for instance if they start making excuses without an offer to "fix the problem", let them know about this thread and how it might be discussed among your church or other group.
I know if I owned the place and this occurred, after my profound apology, I would be offering you a discount coupon on your next service an maybe one to give a friend as well.
Side note: I've made my share of mistakes, and have found that when dealing with reasonable people, if I ask: What can I do to make this right?
Most people just want what they paid for and an apology. My thanks goes out to them for letting me off the hook!!

Does your husband not know how to air up a tire, add antifreeze or washer fluid, or change a wiper blade? If you know how to fill up your gas tank or know how to add detergent to a clothes washing machine and start it, you are qualified to do the above service to your vehicle. In the future just do a basic oil and filter change and do the rest yourself or have the husband do it.

Some people would rather have the convience of having the work done rather than do it themselves....the cost between you doing it yourself and a reputable oil change business is minimal. Some people dont have the tools or the time to do it themselves. Not to mention having to properly dispose of the used oil and oil filters. With the cost of oil changes it only makes sense to have a company do it. By the way I change my oil when I have time but sometimes use these business's (not Coffeyvile Lube Center though)they would screw up free meal. Gone down hill since Adam left!

What I tried to say is just have the Fast Lube place do a basic oil/filter change. It's probably 20 bucks. The owner of the car and her husband can do the other simple maintenance. There are no tools required to add wiper fluid, change a wiper blade, add air to a tire, add antifreeze, etc.

The original poster had enough time to write out her complaints with the business. In that amount of time, they could have probably remedied half the things on their list of gripes.

Most people should not change their own oil. It's messy, it creates a hazordous waste, and not worth the time spent. Have it done at a lube center. Add your own wiper fluid and air up your own tires on your own time. Most gas stations have free air.

Use your brain to get these things done. If you have more money than brains, use your money to get it done.

Fast lube is known for not putting enough oil in the car, not oiling the transfer case, not really checking fluids, and at times not replacing the oil filter.
