As I said once before, people like you honestly make no sense at all. If you don't believe in God, why spend soooo much time trying to disprove Him? It's honestly a waste, because you won't change anyone's opinion. Just like Atheists who get upset over Biblical quotes; if you don't believe, what's the problem?:) I think John Lennon was more inept on everyone keeping their dam* noses in their own business, which is advice you should heed. You came here looking to bicker and try to upset people, so using someone who is symbolic of peace is quite hypocritical of you. Seriously, you should probably get a job...or some hobby. Who has time to go through and reply to every single post on here? Wow!
:-) like I said, just planting seeds of doubt. I'm troubled about the state of the world not about my own life thanks. I'll repeat it; planting seeds of doubt. religion is divisive
. All anyone has to do is read these posts to see that. LOL, seems your the one in need of some peace.

Nope' quite happy! Just my little hobby, and it takes so little time. I may not change your mind and certainly not Sapphires, but some people reading this may not be so indoctrinated. I hope this helps them.

Uhm, yeah, buddy. You look like you're realllly busy, lol. So, your entire point is to "plant seeds of doubt" among Christians? Good luck with that, lol. ;) I'm probably one of the few who took time to read your banter. I think the only thing you want is someone to bicker with because no one in real life will listen. Oh, well. At least this site offers therapeutic help for those in need, I guess. As for me, I do believe in God and nothing you or any other hippie will make me believe otherwise. That's the thing about faith - it's pretty strong. I just hope you realize the valuable time you're wasting b*tching to people who don't really care.are you going to change your mind after people post about their faith? Doubtful. Like I said, since no one else will listen, post here for that attention you're seeking.

I'd rather believe in God all my life and die to see that maybe He isn't than to not believe all my life and die and see He is... It's good to think outside the box, but how do you know anything? If you spend so much time just pondering, you're going to miss out on a lot.
I see...
Kinda hedging your bets or hiding a "get out of jail card" up your sleeve in case its true? That don't sound like faith to me. It sounds like you are cheating at cards.
I do more than "ponder". I live. Not "live" in that superficial, prepackaged sense of the word we all learn for the TV or in public schools but truly live. To pick up every cup that is place before me and drink from it until I'm drunk from the experience.
I have traveled the world and there is not a place that I have wanted to go that I can't tell you what it smells like, sounds like, or feels like first hand. Asia, Europe, north and south america... all on foot with no money in my pocket.
My bucket list is empty and when I go I will have nothing undone.

Um, no. There is no get out of jail card. I believe, and I know He exists. There's no "just in case." I was making a point that it's better to believe in something than in nothing at all. Common sense, which you evidently lack seeing as how you couldn't even grasp what that meant.

& I have no idea what your traveling the world has got to do with God and faith? Just because someone believes in God that means they don't take chances or experience life? If you actually believe that, you are far dumber than what I initially thought. It doesn't cost to live, I think everyone knows that, or they should anyway.

Sure, it's good to "believe" and have "faith", that's what makes those who believe go and try that much harder to be humble and take the extra good they can. But for many, it's very hard to believe in something you've never seen, heard, or touched.

All these Christians will say, "sure he exists! I've seen and have experienced his miracles!"

Folks, those aren't miracles. It's just simply things happening at an opportune time to your benefit, or to someone you know.

As for people wrecking their car and it flips a hundred times and the driver walking away unscathed? That's not God's hand on them. It's flat out a cut and dry case of the oneluckysonofabitch syndrome. For every one "miracle" like this, there's a handful of those that didn't fare so well. What do you call that?

And a lot of these "angels" that seem to appear at the perfect time to help out to someone in need or down on their luck? Those folks are just good people. I'm one of them. I go out of my way to help anyone when I can.

I figure I'm out about $6,000 for the help I've given. I didn't mean to say "out". You can call me a dumb ass for that, but I can afford it and don't ask for anything in return.

Keep on believing and fighting the good fight, if that's what floats your boat. I'm very doubtful there's a Pearly Gate waiting for you. If there is in fact one for those who follow the bible's guidelines, I really hope you get to go thru.

Guess that I won't get to go cause I drink and cuss and have impure thoughts with women. My charity will be nullified in that aspect.

I don't want a refund.

Anyone that can assert that the bible and its God are foundations of which to base your life upon, I can only assume has never read the Bible. If you think that the teachings and morals espoused within the Bible, by God,provide any acceptable standard of morality or decency, you need to admit you've never read it or acknowledge that you are a sociopath. According to the Bible, God commanded some of the worst atrocities imaginable. He commanded murder, rape, genocide, infanticide, etc. If you want to worship THAT god, he is all yours. I am a better person than your god. I have a more reliable moral compass than your god.

Sapphire, "Pascal's wager" is not new. It's just another tool in the indoctrination bag.

There even exist a red and blue list under martial law that depending on what list you are on determines if you live or die here in the US after fima takeover.
so how do u know about this list? the red and blue list. how do u find out if your name is on it?
I am happy to see people talking about these things on here lately. It means there is hope for you here if you listen.

It's useless tying to change someone's mind on what they think. So why get on here and insult others just because they don't agree with your beliefs or theories. It's pointless. just sayin.

Ok folks I respond very infrequently to anything here and I try to make it intelligent when I do. I think to believe blindly in the "bible" is kinda rediculous. Do I believe in God absolutely...Do I believe the bible word for word nope. It was after all translated from ancient language by human beings in the service of a ruthless human king. What I do believe is that I have a loving God as my guide and savior in this screwed up world. As for the faith thing...I don't really have to rely on it much. I don't rely on it much. I always said I needed to believe in something I could see and touch and I actively practiced many alternate religions before I realized that I could see a loving God all around me in the wonderful faces of my children and all of the wonderful blessings in my life...the really weird thing most of these blessings came in spite of my horrible behavior. I finally woke up and looked around and realized how wonderful life is. I absolutely have faith in the God of my understanding now and I'm grateful everyday for the understanding I've been blessed with. But the bible not my thing nor any other text of an major organized religion.

You know. I could tell you this or that. Tell you how the word of God has changed this one time atheists life, tell you how I have seen the power of God move in a way that defies belief...well, I will tell you that one.
Last CHRISTMAS,While driving for FedX delivering packages for the CHRISTMAS rush. It started snowing and here in Coeburn, some of the places I had to del to were really back off in the woods and in a two wheel drive van, this was not something I was looking forward to. So with around 20 stops left to go,the snow started covering the road and I was beginning to have trouble getting around. So as the van started to slide once more,I said these words. God,In the name of Jesus. I ask that this snow would stop until I am close to home and finished with my stops,Amen. No sooner then I had finished, the snow stopped and the blue skys started to peak out from behind the clouds and do you know that is did not start snowing again until I was less than half a mile from my house. Now. It matters little that you dont beleive this,I have no reason to lie and this story is true.
Now,with that said. Another reason I can tell you with out a doubt that the Bible is real is because of just one simple thing that you or anyone else should be able to easily see. Open your mind, find a Bible and read Mathew 24,verses 4 to 27 and Luke 21, verses 8 to 32. Then, look around at the world you live in and tell me that all that is spoken of in the there is not coming to pass. Some will tell you that..yeah right,we have been hearing the same stuff for hundreds of years and that is true. But the thing you have to understand is that events have happened within these past few years that were unheard in human history. One example is the earth quake in Japan a few years ago that was so powerful that it shifted the earths axis by 6.5 inches and the cost of Japan by 13 feet! Look it up for yourself.
Earthquakes in diverse places,Volcanic eruptions, record breaking weather events, social unrest around the world, economic disasters, wars and rumors of wars,Israel being "Surrounded on all sides" and the state of organized religion and the false doctrines taught in churches today..it just goes on and on. These are warning signs people and time is short! Only Faith and trust in Christ can save you from whats to come. This world is but a stopping point,a wayside on the road to eternity. Were that road ends is up to you!
