Unfortunately, I got stuck in the hideous traffic caused by the music festival. I guess the officials from Cocoa Beach and Brevard County forgot that it is late June and Cocoa Beach is inundated with tourists, especially so on the weekends. Summer beach traffic and congestion is to be expected as part of the price we pay to live here in our little Paradise. However, Cocoa Beach officials abdicated their responsibility to city residents, especially those that live around a venue like Lori Wilson Park. The city should have had tow trucks out in force towing any vehicle obstructing driveways and parked on private property and our woefully inadequate police force should have been giving tickets to those clowns. Cocoa Beach Police cannot handle A1A traffic on a normal day and most people drive at least 10 MPH over the posted 35 MPH limit with impunity.
