can you understand anything Joe posts? It's as if he can never finish a full thought or sentence. It's also clear that he has a lot of anger and suffers from narcissism. But really, "our constitutional rights were created as a form of protection to all rights because our rights were created equal?" WTH is he trying to say?

I liked the quotes from our forefathers. Thanks.

I was not pointing out joe per say, read back a few pages. There is something of value lost when the idea can not be grasped fully, because ppl can not use concise language.

Ex. Get to the point.

I'd suppose my own point is that owning a firearm is a right, not a privilege. Just like owning a car and driving. You need to register every car and you need a license to drive one. Gun control is not about taking away the right to own one. It's about ensuring that a gun owner can, will and is able to be responsible if they excersize that right.

Don't treat a gun as if it's a tennis racket behind the seat of your car or in your closet. I also believe there should be boundaries on the type of weapons allowed for a citizen to own.

A lot of gun owners believe they have a right to bear weapons equal to the weapons controlled by the government so they can defend themselves should a rogue government come to power.

I got news for ya. The government does not need to use a rocket launcher in your neighborhood. If they want to, they can use flu shots.

Now, what's your own opinion on gun control without attacking me for mine? Use your own words this time.

This is an opinion on gun control. Having an opinion is important. People that tell someone' what they think about gun control is the problem. You have done that 3 times.

Gun control is a post on Daytona Beach Topix. Beneath that post is a voting poll asking who wants to have guns banned~! The two topics create controversy. Both topics deal with violating everyone's right to bear arms. Both topics deal with people sticking up for their right to have a gun. The topic is not a news article. It is a post. By someone that wanted to start an issue over constitutional rights. Some point's of view included ideas like.. Can you understand this.. form a complete sentence. Needless to say judgment wasn't good. But people like yourself found the drama that they were looking for!

Controversy is not necessarily a bad thing in public discussion. There will always be opposing views within society and by talking about them rationally and with respect each side has the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the other. The person who surrounds themselves only with people who agree with them usually end up with a narrow mind and judgmental character.

Controversial discussions when conducted respectfully are beneficial for all who participate even if in the end they simply agree to disagree.

When a man is provoked by a woman without becoming violent- and the man becomes a victim of the woman's violent anger is this an idea of self defense for the woman? Where are the rights of the man that is being beaten? Violence like this should not have any rights. Victims have been put in jail, because the law has dictated that it was an equal dispute between two people. There is nothing equal about that!

The question isn't being asked to provoke anyone. It just points out a serious problem with law.

let me fix your post so it makes sense.

There are many cases where a woman is the violent one in the argument and yet the man is the one who got arrested.

If the courts determines it was an "equal dispute between two" parties where violence occurred, then both parties deserve equal punishment.

There, I fixed it for you.

The court can require both of them by law to file a restraining order, The woman can be forced to pay for any medical expenses. Retraining orders are expensive if tax dollars are being used both parties can be given community service.
