Minuteman project would boost Savoy

Full story: North Adams Transcript

The outrage your readers should be feeling concerning Minuteman Wind's project in Savoy is that the community's desire for wind energy projects in their town, as evidenced by a 155 to 56 vote adopting the town's wind turbine bylaw, continues to be frustrated by opponents who are unwilling to respect civil processes and harass town officials trying ...

This is arrant nonsense, typical claptrap from a developer trying to profit at the expense ofthe community. One can cite vote numbers from the bylaw debate, but the fact is that McCauley and his support team have consistently misled the public on the impact of this project. For example, the noise study done for thius project is an absolute sham. It almost certainly overstates the ambient noise at the nearest homes using bogus methods. If McCauley really wants to work for the common good, why doesn't he forego any profit and donate it all to the town of Savoy instead? Incidentally, Don, what is the square footage of your house ? Get one thing clear. You can't lie to people to get them to vote your way , then cite that vote as evidence that the town is all behind you. To claim that, you would first need to provide an honest overview of the project's impacts.

I totally agree with Greed Power. As a resident of Savoy, everyone I talk to is against this project. So who is for it beside McCauley and Malloy, both to reap huge profits?

In response to greed power and wayne

Do you go to work every day and then donate your paycheck? Why should a developer not make a profit, do we stop all projects or building because someone makes profit. Get off of it, this is business, and a win win situation for the town, construction job and more importantly clean energy. If you have a better idea on how to generate clean power for 3000 househols bring it on! I am sure someone will find falt with it.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Aquarius

It's a sociable and gregarious mood my dears, so it would be a shame to keep yourself to yourself. Not that there's much likelihood of that, because with the Moon in Leo and your seventh house of others, your popularity is on the rise and you're in demand. Why not go out with your other half, or meet some friends? Get everyone together for a drink or a meal.
