Memorial held for boys found in lake

Friends and family remembered the three young boys whose bodies were discovered this month at the bottom of Cochiti Lake after disappearing eight years ago.

this is a horrific tragedy... What happened? Why did it take so long to find this family? How were they not discovered for 7 plus years? Why was this not reported in the news or reported on such allow level scale...
I am so sorry for this poor family... GOD Bless those poor children and I hope that the father was not the responsible person...
But it sure seems like that is what happened? Isn't this right about the time when the mother drove her 2 little boys into the lake and drown them, then blamed a black man for car jacking? They were discovered within days. Maybe the father thought they would also be discovered? Or maybe it was an accident? Was there ever a note? Only GOD knows? REST In PEACE AT Last!

Robert are so right. I also knew Richard and he went through pure hell with his ex wife. These idiot journalists and APD who do not have a clue keep this whole thing one sided. I believe with all my hear that he and the kids were murdered. Richard loved his kids too much to do something like this. For all the years I knew him I never saw him spank his kids once or raise his voice at them. He treated them with the upmost respect. What people do not know is he never kidnapped his kids. The boys were with him for 9 days while his exwife was with her boyfriend in Vegas, NV. Richards brother told us his son, Richard Jr., was threatened with a beating from this boyfriend before they left for Vegas.
I hope his family sues Susana, the media and APD after all this is finished.

Susana should have told the truth to police and the media and said I was in Vegas with another guy, she didn't.
All these years she keep that to herself while the public was lead to believe otherwise. God Bless him so much he was such a good guy. All your friends miss your laughter so much. God will expose what really happened just like he allowed you and the boys to be found.

If those are the conditions; I certainly hope they look at all feasible suspects and not let this case rest. You seem very close to those that were killed, so please let me say; I hope you are doing well. If it takes you to rattle the police into doing a deeper investigation, please get as loud as you can. Hell get the press involved too.

the police were told this at the time richard and his kids disappered, i guess they just ignored the matter. richard wasn't depressed when i spoke to him 1 week before his disapperance, he was asking me about calif. if the jobs pay better in ca. than n.m.,and i told him alot better. he told me he had some business matters to take of, and once he finished with business matters, that he would like to come to california for a visit.

what about richard's mom, and his family. may the good lord bless them and help them in this time of need!

I'm really sick of hearing this crap. This is a guy who willfully drowned his kids while on house arrest for raping his sister-in-law AT KNIFE POINT IN from of his sister-in-laws 5-year old. He cut off his ankle monitoring bracelet and took off with the kids. You cannot blame that kind of behavior on a woman having affairs. My first husband beat me and cheated on me and I didn't assault his relatives or kill my kids. The guy was very, very disturbed and nobody "caused" it. He made a choice. I'm sorry for your loss, but you need to climb out of your denial.

When a crime like murder is committed you don't want the victims found so the murderer will cut off an ankle braclet. No knife was ever used in any attack. Richard never hurt his exwife or sister in law. It was all premeditated by this family. Richards family told police Susanas brother George and her mothers married boyfriend Freddie threatened to kill him less than a month before they went missing.
Unless you know the situation keep the negative attacks to yourself.

It seems there is always two sides to every story, we are only getting her side of the story, It would not hurt APD to investigate this further.It seems Richard's friends are defending him for a reason. It is easy to accuse anyone of anything, Richard is not around to defend himself. I say Investigate!
