Thoughts on this place?? Have seen them on Facebook begging for money yet bragging how they rescue these pets and give them better homes and then complain again about how much they had to pay to get two dogs groomed!
You should want to rescue animals because you want to help them. If you don't have the money to ale care of them yourself... Don't take them!!

I also see them complaining about money frequently. I also see them "rescuing" animals that don't need to be!

They also posted about rescuing a rooster that someone didn't want. Complained about the person they rescued it from, and what did they post today???
The rooster would me made into soup if someone wasn't able to take it!!
Seriously? You complained about the person that didn't want the rooster and now you are going to KILL it?????? Some pet rescue you are!

They were complaining the owner of the rooster was going to make it soup not the rescue. These rescues and shelters always need money. They help animals no one wants. Take the time to go visit their rescue and make a donation yourself. I did. It is a beautiful place.

I understand they always need money but to complain openly on Facebook about how much it cost (by posting the exact amounts) to get two dogs groomed is tacky! A post more like "just rescued two dogs that needed to be groomed badly. Grooming cost a bit more than we expect and donations would be greatly appreciated to help offset these costs" would have been a but bit more appropriate!! Don't ya think???

Look at their Facebook post from Thursday August 17th - a picture of the rooster and these exact words -
"Rooster will be used for soup if we can't find him a home"

I have nothin against using him against soup... It's the point that they "rescued him" from someone and then make a post like that??

Haha I wouldn't donate to them. I agree with the others. The amount of complaining from them is rediculous. I would gladly donate to a rescue that doesn't complain SO much!

The owner of this rescue looks like they sit on facebook all day ! Maybe they should try doing events to raise money, that's what most rescues do. Were are all the animals that are up for adoption ? I rarely see animals for adoption on facebook. Makes me think "hoarder" !!! Why take in more horses when they can't feed what they have. Just no common sense ! "HOARDER"

Agree!! I have yet to ever see an animal up for adoption. But do see a lot of time spent on Facebook!

And my thoughts exactly on taking in more animals. Complains how much money it costs, begs for money on a daily basis yet STILL takes in more animals. You think these animals are any better off there? Not if they don't get food there either!

I tried to adopt a dog from here. I live 2 hours away. She posted on her facebook page all day long but would take on average 4 days to respond to my emails. She requires 2 home checks, and because she couldn't come to my house because it was too far away she said I couldn't adopt it (even though I was clearly willing to drive 2 hours to give the dog a home). I am friends with a vet tech who runs her own animal rescue, and gave Forgotten Friends her info (phone, facebook page etc) so she could call and verify my home was sufficient for a dog (I have a large fenced in backyard and send my current dog to "doggie daycare" so he's rarely home alone). She wouldn't call. To add to other peoples reviews, she had students from the local SUNY college come volunteer and then posted on her facebook page something along the lines of "girls from suny came over today, they were such a great help...because I can't call them brats right?..."...all in all, I'm not happy. You shouldn't run an animal rescue if you're not willing to give the animals up.
