cobden fire dept. LOSERS!

If your house is on fire and a cutsie reporter shows up to report on the blaze....your house is history. These guys are more interested in hitting on the reporter that putting out the fire! Hope you have great home owners insurance. The only fire they will be worried about is the one in their pants!

well hackensack or who ever you are lets get the facts straight 1. the house that you are refering to was a house we set on fire many time and put out,we use it as a for training to train with scba equiptment, as well as different methods of water and hose useage, the reason the reporter was there was to film and document the quality training that cobden fire dept does. as far as the house fire, we as a dept set the house on fire, and no it did not get fully extingushed as needed that night after training, but it was not connected with or do to any cutsie reporter, or anyhting to deal with fires in anyones pants, i assure you if you really had the mental ability to really under stand what took place and what training was done and to what extent it would make you feel proud and safer that cobden dept takes the vol job seriously. and that the group of men who vol to safe your property take it very seriously,, i think if your home or structure was on fire and you had to call them you would be proud they train the ay they do...

you should be very thankfull that the men and women that are on the various volenteer depts around here do just that volenteer thier time to do what they can for others when an emergency happenes,,,, if not for those brave men and women who actully care,,, you would have no ,fire dept. no rescue squad, no search teams, no any thing so keep your nasty comments to your self,,, it is people like you who sit on thier ass and are quick to judge others for trying , but your too damm lazy to help anyone other than your own self,,

Tell that to Nance, Hartline and Bennett's significant others! I am sure they would love to know that their "fire fighters" are out there trying to score a piece of a#* while they are supposed to be training! Yeah, everybody knows it was a "training house" but the fact remains that they had put the fire out and the 3 individuals set it back on fire to impress the reporter. Then the entire force had to be toned out again! Embarrassing! And how much fuel did it cost to have to bring the trucks back out to fix the stupidity of these 3 stooges?

I publically apologize. This is only rumor...although this is the story being told by the other fire fighters who were out until two in the morning putting out th second fire.

Well I am not afraid to say who I am on this post and I just want to say that the three fireman that was mentioned are making effort to better the fire dept along with others on the dept for some one to accuse them of these things is wrong. Hopefully it is not someone on the dept. Good job guys keep it up. Don't listen to this nonsense . I am glad to hear that the dept. is training should make all the residents in the nearby community feel good.

As someone who is mentioned in this despicable post I just have a couple of comments. First I really don't appreciate the individual who is too much of a coward to actually say something to my/our faces getting on here and being such a blooter. Second the young lady who requested our time is a student to my knowledge and someone who was trying to better herself and for some jackanapes to speak of her as they did is truculent. Last as a member of the CFD I can say that we are constantly trying to better ourselves with as much training as we can get. I know the single blatherskite does not represent the CFD and I thank all who have given their support. {These are my views and not necessarily the views of the CFD.) Though I don't think I said anything they'd disagree.

Really, you should clean up your own department before you try to help save another. You know all the dirt on your own turf so don,t start something you don't want out in the public view. Your track record is not that clean.

When I read this I looked at my better half and said "WOW, I hope their homes don't catch fire."
I hope for the sake that whoever started such a horrible post such as this, realizes exactly what you have done. You do realize that these men lay their lives on the line everytime that buzzer goes off, everytime they have a radio call they're there.What if it were your home? Would you shake his/her hand for saving your dog or worse yet your sleeping child. Would you lay your life on the line to walk into a blazing fire to return the favor instead of bashing one of them on a forum that shouldn't exist in the first place? Instead of pointing fingers and calling names like a child on a play ground, you should be walking up and thanking them for their services.

Another good show of teamwork tonight between CVFD & APVFD. From what the news reported it was a very steep hill & the temperature was awful. Thank you for these dedicated men, they risk their safety to help others, Volunteers! Very proud to say I'm from Cobden & I have friends on the Cobden Fire Dept.

I am not one to cast stones on anyone, especially one that is willing to put their life on the line to save innocent people,their homes, or even an animal upon a call. Perhaps you need to sit back,look and listen before casting stones. You never know when you might need to call upon one of these gentleman to have them put their lives on the line to save yours,or one of your family members God forbid.

…well said &I thank you.....my husband and our oldest son are on the Cobden Dept & I worry about their safety & the safety of everyone involved......these men are VOLUNTEERS & give up alot of personal family time to ensure the safety & well being of others
