I was on Rt. 222 on Monday night at 11 PM, speed limit 55 and I was doing 60. State cop blew stop sign on Schantz Road and tailgated me while talking on his cell phone until I turned off. Its not just the kids driving like idiots.

"...The two victims were not wearing seat belts..."

"..The driver lost control, struck a utility pole and then the unoccupied home..."

and so it goes...as the wind blows...

OH, let me tell you, thats another story..
You are so right, it is called
Do As I say Not As I Do..
These cops today and every day arrest us for the stuff they do even when on duty !!
They speed, they drift through stop signs, talk on cell phones, don't use turn signals and drive drunk after work and arrest us the next day for a DUI !!
There personal cars ALL have the little round badge that lets them walk no matter what they do !!
Some times the COPS giving you a DUI are hung over from the night before.
In my opinion any cop doing a DUI TRAP (oops I ment to say check point)
should be tested for alcohal and should be a non drinker before they can even think about writing you up for a DUI..
But hey, we are just regulor people haveing money taken out of our pockets EVERY DAY !!!!
CORRUPTION IS EVERYWHERE !!!!

Brandon wasnt a "punk", he was on his way to work. He was just a young guy who made a mistake that can't be reversed. For that matter, I see many "old punks" speeding along the turnpike at 90+ mph. Brandon, you will be missed.

This accident is tragic and many things can be taken from it. I happened to have 2 friends and co workers taken. Yes by a mistake...one which will never be reversed. To think that just 5 hours before this I walked to my car next to them. Heard Scott start his car and leave the parking lot. Never thought that was the last time I would hear it. Brandon always had a smile...no matter what mood he was in. Many will miss these two. They were friends to many and loved by others. My thoughts and prayers to the families of both these young men.
No matter how stupid the act, the fact remains 2 human beings lost their lives.....

Maybe Homer's shouldn't open at 7 am in the morning, maybe the police should do their job and look into how many accidents have happened in the area, and SHUT DOWN Homer's!!!!!!

These 2 guys did make a stupid choice, many others have and lived to tell about it. Many others still continue to do it today. But these two young men were two good young men who made a poor choice. The newspapers don't always tell the full story, and there are people on here who make rash statements, and really hurt the families of those people who have passed on.

Like I said, Homer's shouldn't be open that early, and they should be stopped from allowing their doors to open at 7 am, they're profiting off the local employment in the area, and people are getting seriously injured and dying as a result.

Its not illegal to talk on the cell phone while driving in PA. A hangover is not drunk and also not illegal to be driving with a hangover...if there is such a problem out there why dont you make a formal complaint instead of flapping your gums here?? Bitter from a prior experience????

It always makes me laugh when everyone can talk crap about anything, but when you tell the truth about how COPS take advantage of there badge it's called BASHING !!!
By the way NO CHNAGE 4U, I would BET your car has a little round tag on your license plate also, right ?
Oh but all you have to do is say your married to(or dating) a COP !!

And as for the morons driving there car at 80 to 100 MPH and weaving in and out of traffic, if they hit you, you would be calling them all kinds of names !!(if you would be alive yet)
And then you be looking for a lawyer !!!

You have the same negative attitude that most of the cops I have met do. When they approach you, no matter what the situation is, they automatically assume that you are a "POS" (especially if you happen to be a young white male, as I am). As a taxpayer responsible for paying the police's salaries, I don't expect to be assumed to be a "POS," nor should I. Maybe if cops acted with a little more humility and respect for the community members they are paid to serve there wouldn't be so many negative feelings out there toward them. Maybe they could incorporate community relations, or "honorable policing" courses into their training. If they don't, I think the relationship between cops and civilians will only continue to become more hostile. Either way, the people on this forum are merely reacting to the treatment WE have received, and in many cases it was unfair treatment.

Story says "the car they were driving"
How many people were driving the car, there's one set of controls - right?

Doesn't matter, this is just the latest example of mixing drugs, alcohol and stupidity.

........family wants sympathy again.
family's just lucky these idiots didn't take someone else with them.

Another "Parkland Grad" bites the dust.

Amazing how none of them learn from these stories.

.......Who's next?

So, how do you know he was playing fast and furious, as you put it? Maybe a tire blew, maybe an endlink broke, or and axle, maybe he lost a tire. Maybe he was on the way to an emergency. Did any of those thoughts cross your mind before you started on your tirade and calling them punks? Probably not because that would've required some thought and compassion.

BTW, it's "they're" not "there". Maybe you should've paid attention in English instead of watching hollywood movies.

Yeah, they made a bad choice. It doesn't make them idiots. Maybe a little compassion as a family member might be reading or maybe even replying. As to anwer your question, maybe you. Nobody is immune to making poor decisions. You might want to keep that in mind as you cast judgement.

1 of these young men was put in the ground today. I attended the service and the family and supporters made for a very large crowd. This man was loved by many. He touched everyone he talked to and had a smile that could light up a room. It just hits deep that people can be cruel and call names and talk about people they DO NOT KNOW!!!
I would love to see those who hide behind their keyboards walk up to a family mmber and tell them face to face the same things they say on here behind their computers!
Rest in Peace Brandon. You will be missed! You have the best seat in Fenway now!!!
