For those seeking to become filthy rich the Curren family should give you pause. Now we have father against son, father against daughter, oh what family values these people have. They are fighting over money even though each of them are very rich by any ones standards. Like the company itself, greed is the over riding factor between these selfish people, only the coal that they mine comes close to being as unclean as their family hatred for each other. Ah, for what to gain the world and lose one's soul.

DEP suspended LCN's mining permit in '06 for not backfilling the Springdale Pit. Sean Curren takes over and two and a half years later they still are not backfilling Springdale Pit, and with Sean Curren in charge they now have another pit opened up in Coaldale and are starting another pit in Lansford. Sounds to me like the DEP is in bed with Sean Curren and Coaldale Energy and not protecting the people of the Pennsylvania once again. Why haven't we heard from Dave Argall or Keith McCall?

I think it's time for an FBI investigation. How can the DEP pick sides? Maybe because of the bond money they allowed Coaldale Energy to withhold back in '06 and still not paid. According to DEP records LC&N is one million yards behind in backfill/reclamation for year '08, which is being managed by Sean Curran and Coaldale Energy, yet they testify what a wonderful job they're doing. Another great job for the people of PA. Maybe Kathleen McGinty's sudden resignation was for a reason. Thanks DEP.
