How many PA maternity units have closed under Rendell?

Thanks to the personal injury lawyers who funneled millions into Rendell's campaigns, maternity unit after maternity unit have been forced to close due to high malpractice rates brought on by rampant lawsuit abuse.

But, hey--Rendell has given us casinos, hookers and foreclosures. What more could a state want?

It's a shame that they closed down Palmerton's,and spent a lot of money to remodel a unit in Lehighton, only to end up closing it. Now some local babies will be born at home, in cars, and ambulances. Not all of them will make it to the hospital in time. But, they will be getting much better care at
LVHCC.

Well at least that area won't get infested by the breeding welfare and illegal parasites like the rest of the northeast is, they'll be too far way from a hospital. Hopefully they'll all stick to trashing Allentown and have their babies at Sacred Heart. Keeping the trash concentrated and centralized to one area is really the best bet if you want to keep the taxpayers from having to endure this trash and prevent the spread of crime, ruined property values, etc.

Your safer in Carbon County than in Allentown, Lehigh County in broad daylight.

Get a whiff of fresh air. Move to the Blue Mountain area and escape inner city slums.

There are plenty of immigrinti in Carbon County who spit out babies as fast as they can. Most hospitals are not only disgusted by them, they are being leveled financially by them.

Carbon County is rural, but there are much nicer rural places to live in Pennsylvania, and elsewhere. The people in Carbon County tend to be narrow-minded. That's my biggest complaint. But also, much of it is very depressed-looking. Many of the historic barns/farmsteads are collapsing because no one's taken care of them, and the newer homes are trailers or doublewides or simple ranch-styles. Compare that with rural Bucks County or parts of Vermont and the differences are striking.

Birth of a child is a biohazard. That placenta probably needed to be taken to the lab to be examined, 2 hours I doubt that it sat there that long... those nurses are wonderful, and when I delivered there, they removed the gloves as soon as they walked away from me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... and I don't know where you are looking, but where I live in Lehighton... there are alot of big beautiful homes, unfortunately they're built 10 feet from each other in developments that used to be wildlife habitats or farming fields... that was beauty...

The way the world is people shouldn't be having babies anyway. There is not much for them to look forward to.

Okay "wow" do you have something against what you call biker chicks? Some of my friends (female) ride harleys on weekends, work in hospitals, offices and other well paying jobs during the week, so what exactly was your point with this statement?
